Does anyone know how the final award is calculated (Pass,Merit,Distinction)?

I am assuming its based on the phase results (Pass, Credit)?

Would appreciate any information on this thanks.

For each module you can get one of two grades which are pass(70%) or credit(85%)

Phase 2 consists of 5 modules. You need to achieve 4 credits and one pass to achieve a merit for this phase.

Phase 4 consists of 4 modules. You need to achieve 3 credits and one pass to achieve a merit for this phase.

Phase 6 also consists of 4 modules. You need to achieve 3 credits and one pass to achieve a merit for this phase.

If you achieve a merit for all phases you certificate will have electrical craft certificate with merit along with your electricians card also saying the same, if you do not your cert will just say electrical craft certificate. If you put in the a decent bit of effort this is easily achieved:D
