Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Applying for psychology conversion courses

Hello all, I am a mature student going into my third and possibly final year in NUIG.

I am doing Psychological studies and soc&pol, I am wondering about when applying for the psychology conversion course in NUIG, UL and the other universities do you apply through the CAO, or through the University itself or do you do both, apply for the conversion course through the university and the CAO.
Also is it possible to receive the SUSI grant for the conversion course?

Advice and help very much welcome!! Thank you. :)

very good question. I've asked SUSI of course and they say they will support it if it's treated as an extension of your existing degree - which is what I've asked (if it's 'treated as an extension' or not) the dean of the arts college, the SID, the fees office, the postgrad application office... and no one knows.

I have no idea who else to ask now, other than to get back on to SUSI about it.

the main problem is that it's also a Level 8 programme, and generally SUSI only support a single Level 8 course - which is why it must be 'treated as an extension' by the Uni/College.

I wish someone could tell me the answer to this.
