Laying new lawn

    Hi,
I decided to bite the bullet and re-lay my lawn. I have already applied roundup to the lot, just going to give it about 3 weeks to die off.
Whats the best way to go after that.
I have read up loads of how-to's etc and here is what I propose:

    1. When grass is dead mow it at lowest setting, collect all the cuttings.
    2. Rotavate the lot, rake out all the large stones/debris etc, and rake it nice and flat.
    3. Roll lightly with half-filled water roller.
    4. Leave a couple of weeks for new weeds to appear, then apply roundup again.
    5. Lightly dig with a fork, then rake again.
    6. Sow the seed, rake in gently and roll with half-filled roller.

Is there anything I am missing here, or indeed any steps not necessary or in wrong order etc? Maybe add starter fertiliser at some stage? Compost etc?

All advice much welcome. I am aiming to sow in late september.

    Thanks guys
