I can already hear the outstanding in Rodgers post match interview.

1/100 that he uses the word I'd say.

If it's possible to win a half 0-0, Liverpool just did.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,116 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

However are Liverpool not ahead lol?

    Ye need more linesman intervention.

Liverpool have bought very well this summer. They look very solid. Clyne's been terrific. Unbelievably dynamic.

Liverpool have been brilliant. A lot more convincing than the first couple of games anyway. Offside goal aside, Liverpool should be out of sight.

Coutinho needs 10 chances to find his range

    Arsenal stupidly giving them

Would have been in if not for Cech's fingertips.

What do you reckon Arteta on for Chambers? We need to get a cool head on to take control in Defense!

Debuchy is the obvious choice to replace him.

Liverpool have been fantastic this half. Coutinho is an absolute wizard. Benteke has been a huge threat. Can and Lucas outhussling the Arsenal midfield. Excellent stuff. :)

Thank the ****ing lord christ for half time.

We can't possibly be any worse in the 2nd half.... Can we?! :(

Unlucky not to be in front, but I'm delighted with the performance so far. Look an awful lot better in the opposition half than the two previous games. Night and day.

Arsenal would be incredibly lucky to come out of this with a draw let alone a win.

Liverpool have probably done the best business in the transfer market, all solid signings.

Cech has already earned his cheque this week, world class saves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

That 2nd save from Cech was astonishing. You just dont realise how hard it is to get anything to them. Amazing stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,243 ✭✭✭✭Jesus Wept

Liverpool are really bossing this, they need to score before half time or Arsenal will have the psychological edge in the 2nd half.

    no they won't

Gomez is doing well, standing up and being counted

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

I honestly don't think it's hyperbolic to say they are 2 of the top 10 saves we've ever seen in the premier league. Just phenomenal

    That doesn't fit the angle

How the hell aren't we leading this game... Hope we don't rue our missed chances 1st half. More of the same and we should be thrashing these guys.

Christ I'm delighted with that Liverpool performance so far. Milner is the centre of everything and Coutinho has been absolutely superb.

    Keep this up lads.

Its a miracle we are still in this game, chambers has been a disgrace, midfield giving a bew back 4 no protection which is equally as bad, still in it though get the Ox on for Ramsey 2nd half

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,361 ✭✭✭Boskowski

Unbelievable there are no goals yet. Liverpool look excellent. Coutinho what a player.
Thank god Arsenal got into halftime without conceding, miracle really. Pep talk needed.

    no they won't

If Wenger makes the right changes we will.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,116 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

LOL at all the Liverpool fans saying their unlucky not to be winning when it took yet another wrong call by a linesman to prevent ye being behind.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,009 ✭✭✭kronsington

hopefully he takes chambers off as he's been absolutely woeful. wenger probably wont as it would "kill" cc's confidence to come off or some ****e.. sort it out lads, this is awful.. regroup at half time crucial

Its been 3 games mate i wouldn't be getting excited, Arsenal wont be as bad in 2nd half think Liverpool missed their chance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,480 ✭✭✭✭cson

Two things I'll take from that; yes Liverpool have been good. But they've been as good as we have been awful. Very apparent the unsettling effect the CB changes have had on the whole team. Liverpool have been good because Arsenal are all over the shop.

Second I hope he leaves Chambers on because you'll destroy a kid taking him off at half time. Big chance for Chambers to come out and show how much he wants to play in these games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,729 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

    no they won't

    I hope your right,

It's the Liverpool (glass being half empty) supporter in me!!

Clyne & Gomez are a huge improvement for us. Gomez at 18 is a huge talent.

Deserves to be about 1-3 based on play. Hope you are enjoying your laughing out loud, and not disturbing those near you.

Really hope we come out and continue to play as we have so far.

Really impressed with Coutinho. He's really matured into a good player under Rodgers. Absolute bargain at 8M.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,796 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Surprised at how bad Arsenal have been. Been caught out in central midfield far too often. Ozil does not look like he wants to be on the pitch.

How is it irrelevant?. We've kept Liverpool from scoring, whereas Liverpool needed the Linesman do that. Liverpool haven't scored. Arsenal have. Be hypothetical all you want but that's the facts.

I know right, something not right in the eyes, world class player but awfully flakey.

We got lucky with the goal of course. But the game overall we've been brilliant. Unfortunately so has Cech.

The usual özil bashing they all look like they don't wanna be out there

    Milner has been terrific

Nooooo Thierry, Benteke is muck, a waste of money..season ruined and can't score for sh*t. "Amazing Save"!?!...do you not read this thread on your iPad?

Moreno is still a very good player. Never said he was one of the best LBs in the league though but I still think he will be our LB. Gomez will a CB for us. Is Luke Shaw still great going forward despite not scoring a professional goal lol.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,948 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Our performance doesn't matter because we've had a decision go our way. Refs are probably slipping the players supplements on the side too.
