Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you like accounting and you are pretty certain you want to become a qualified accountant, then you will have no problem with this course. It is different from general commerce in that you specialize in accounting from day 1. You will still have certain modules in common with general commerce too. I think that the university would expect accounting to be completed up to leaving certificate level to apply for this course.
A student can also do general commerce and in year 2 choose to specialize in the Accounting stream. At the end of both courses, there will not be a huge level of difference between the two degrees.
So if you are interested in working in accounting, are pretty certain this is your career choice, and have accounting up to leaving certificate level, Commerce(Accounting) is probably the course for you.
On a difficulty level, I would say that it is not too difficult. Some people find accounting difficult but I think that is mainly down to not really having much of an interest in it. Objectively, accounting is a pretty straight forward topic with no major technical difficulties...
