I'm female, mid thirties, clean license held for over 10 years, no claims, driving a 2010 Fiat Panda and I can't get a quote for less than €650. Does this sound right?

Liberty have quoted me almost €1200.

    Add another driver.

    Liberty seem to want younger.

They are constantly changing prices across the board in all companies.

    Wife's renewal from Aviva €389 - 07 Honda Civic 1.3l

I always buy fully comprehensive policy with bonus protection, breakdown assistance etc.

Wife as named driver with own claim, quotes without claim are in my name only.
    123.ie €1200
    Liberty €964 (+claim)

Post insurance €642 (it would be €545 with named driver without the claim)

Just to clarify. If the claim for the named driver you're referring went through your policy, it's your claim, not theirs

Claim was processed through named drivers policy not mine.

    Car: Audi A5 coupe 2.7 multi-tronic diesel
    Age: 44
    Full no claims 25 yrs
    No penalty points or convictions

Renewal with itsforwomen 621 Euro fully comp, with step-back protection and 450E excess
    Some whacky quotes out there
Liberty 1138 - always way dearer than everyone else for me
    FBD 1136, no thanks
Everyone else ranged from 701 with AIG to 950 with Aviva
Waiting for AIG to get back to me on price match with BOI, with few xtras
Apart from Bank of Ireland who came in with 623, but no interest on monthly payments and less excess than itsforwomen, so probably go with them.
Does anyone know if BOI insure cars over 10yrs old, as I will be in that situation next time round.
Rather pay less than the 623, but probably good value considering the car.

Just seen this on "bargain alerts" for It's for women insurance

35 EURO off insurance through www.its4women.ie
Just us VOUCHER CODE: LQ456 under your quote to get discount.

It's dated today, if its any use to you.

Very frustrating. Increases of between 31% to 101% compared to last year, despite no real change in circumstances.

Drives me nuts renewing car insurance
got call from AXA who im currently with, €625
    ill take that

Renewal time again, same car, same me but a year older and hopefully wiser. Here are a few of my quotes

Axa -€678.64 renewed €574 with dash cam
    AA - €837.16
    Aviva - €960.74
    Blue (liberty) - €654
    Liberty - €561 or 645.46 with NCD
    An Post - €887.11
    FBD - €1,131.79
    123.ie - €873.18
    Chill - €850
    Compare Insurance Ireland - € 1016.63
    allianz - €807.80

So i renewed again with AXA. The renewal quote they gave me was actually dearer than last year (€678 compared to €625 last year), so i rang them to see if they could improve on it but they couldn't. So i mentioned that i seen recently adverts about dash cams giving insurance customers with AXA discounts, so she checked and once confirmed its a nextbase cam, i was able to get the discount. It knocked off €104 off my renewal to €574 so it pays to have a dash cam now, especially if your with AXA

What are the T&C of the dash-cam discount?! What happens if you fail to produce the footage after receiving the discount - exp. the card malfunctioned and you didn't know about that?

€620 with FBD is not a bad quote by the way. Named driving experience generally does not count for much with most providers
