Near calm here in clare. Smoke from chimneys is rising dispersing, not exactly going any particular direction. Feels unusual nearly, been stormy for so long.

4c air temp and dew point at DUB Airport at 15:00 if that's any use.

despite the temps it really doesnt feel that cold. Still solid rain here, one of the most miserable days of the year but then again nearly every day over past month falls into that category.

Agreed. That's the reason I asked above. I can see my breath, but i'm not cold at all! Amazing amount of precip today.

Chilly day here in Kildare. It was 2.6c at three pm with rain falling that was looking like it was almost sleet.

we had a low of 2 degrees and some very wet sleet between 3 and 4 here in Laois. Awful day and I am starting to forget what the sun looks like. I have my electric blanket on nuclear my feet are so cold.

This has to be by far the worst winter ever. All it is is mild temperatures wind and rain. Its shocking. The outlook is for more mild wet and windy weather. I miss frosty morning!

So so so sick of this miserable weather. I'm over winter I know its only 4 days in but if feels like we've had bad weather for ages....I don't even care about snow anymore.....
Just can't wait for the spring.

It is getting hard to take at this stage, must be at least 4 weeks of day after day of gusts, stuff blowing over in the garden, torrential downpours, water logged fields, mid teen temps and muddy ground. In all my life ive never seen it this bad for so long and there seems no end in sight to the current conditions.

    You must be very young!

I've seen this so many times before

A month of mild stormy weather in Autumn in Ireland?!!

    That's unusual?

It was in many ways an exceptionally dull and wet month. Im old enough to remember frost in November.

It may indeed turn out that way, I don't know.

But to declare that "it is" four days into the month is beyond daft....

Not that I recall. Asking in here in the autumn forum and very few saw morning ground frost.

The stats are clear. It's been unusually dull and warm.

But you replied to Gonzo who was complaining about the last 4 weeks.
