Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need to learn to swim!

I wasn't sure whether to start a new thread or post in one of the sticky threads (Mods, feel free to move this if needs be). I have had a quick read of the sticky thread, but they seem a bit out of date.

I'm in my early 30's and have never learned to swim. Nobody in my family can swim so there was never anybody to show me! Ex girlfriends have tried to teach me in the past but it has never gone well :pac:! At this stage, I would be quite nervous about it so I'm looking for recommendations on where to get lessons. I live a couple of minutes drive from the pool in Meadowbrook. Can anybody recommend a place for lessons? Obviously Meadowbrook is handy for me, but I don't mind driving a bit further for better lessons.

    Thanks!

Ballinteer have adults learning classes for 55euro for 5 week course. Ring them to ask. They will assess you and will put you in a lane with other beginners like yourself....

Or Templeogue do adult swim lesson also but not sure how much. If you don't mind traveling give them a ring on (0)1 - 490 1711 to ask them.

Loughlinstown have signs up for one-on-one lessions for €25 a pop if you prefer that option.
    Not cheap I know.
Meadowbrook are part of the same DLR setup so they should be the same.
