Will anyone clip the Angry Birds wings? Will Frodo get revenge on Gomez?

Who do you all fancy? Some previews on ST for the men & women

Best of luck to Peter in the AG race this weekend.

ryf by a mile i'd wager.

gomez off an easy(relatively) race in stockholm, frodo focused on Kona, tough one to call. go with gomez as i reckon frodo is thinking kona

and of course best of look PK.

Gomez on twitter yesterday saying he's been in bed sick since Stockholm. Still hoping to make start line though.

    Lucky he didn't do DCT..:D

It'll be interesting to see how Don goes here and then at Kona.

Good to see Ivan O'Gorman featured in this vid.

    On paper my top 5:

    1 - Gomez
    2 - Frodo
3 - Don (poss 2nd as no IM in legs)
    4 - Bozzone
    5 - Kienle/Raelert

Reed also a danger man as is Thomas IMO.

    Then factors of:
    - Gomez sick a few days
    - Frodo with IM focus and FF done
    - Kienle wants a Champs race
    - Don fresh and fast
    - Bozzone v motivated with this being race 2/3 for $1m bucks if he wins and follows with Bahrain win. That's a lotta dosh. Has to be his number 1 priority and he's proven in shape.
    - Thomas seems to be in serious run form and could be a contendor if close at t2.
    - Bike course suits Kienle power.

I'd love to see Bozzone win it for the buzz at Bahrain in Nov.

    Women's:
    1 - Ryf
    2 - Swallow
    3 - Kessler
    4 - Wurtele
    5 - Vodickova?

Again shouting for Ryf similar hunt for $1m chance at Bahrain triple crown.

    Live coverage thankfully.
Seems to be a 10am start unusually Irish time.

This is a clip of the down hill section of the race, very easy to get caught out on some of them bends,
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vP964KTWqis&feature=share

Strong bike man's course for sure, 1st 20k is super fast, next 13k is hard, 10k approx 8% 3k approx 14%, then fast decent, last 5/7k has quite a few twists and turns,

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,579 ✭✭✭Ceepo

Michael Scully from Clonmel TRI Club also doing this race. I know he was hoping for about 4.30 finish time.
Any other Irish taking part ?.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,579 ✭✭✭Ceepo

    4.40 for Peter.
    4.44. For Michael.

Look like a hard day out there.

That hill on the bike takes a lot out if the legs.
