For 755 you could build a much more powerful machine yourself, if you are open to that idea.

That cpu is quite weak and that video card isn't the worst but it is definitely average.

I'd recommend sticking with intel CPUs these days, getting an SSD and getting either a 280x,380 or an Nvidia 950 if you are on a tight budget.

Pretty weak build, AMD CPUs are pretty crap, I'd go Intel as above.

Again the GPU isn't bad per say, but a self build half the price could fit a better one.

Are you willing to do a self build? It's fairly simple, we can give a parts list.

That is an exceptionally poor machine. I'm appalled at PC Specialist that they'd even offer that CPU in a gaming build. It isn't capable of running most new games at all no matter what graphics card you had installed. It's a Kabini processor designed for media machines.

I wouldn't build it myself but I know people who would build the pc just like I said I'm sort of a noob at the specs would need help picking parts. My budget is PC: €600 monitor: €130
    Thanks

    i3 4160 €120
    1tb HDD €50
    8gb RAM €50
    GTX 950 €170
    Zalman A1 €20
    H81M board €50
    400w PSU €50
    250gb SSD €90
    Total €600

I'm not the best with monitors but you'll fit a 1080p at €130-150

Monitors is fine I have one selected anyway! I dunno is i3 best for price would rather i5 but price! I have a monitor (a bad one) would do until Christmas could get new one ! If so I would spend another €50 - €70 max on the PC

An i3 will only bottleneck very CPU heavy games, what're you planning on playing?

  • Registered Users Posts: 15 LiamMcPartland

I plan on playing games such as CS GO and H1Z1! I wouldn't really be playing big games such as GTA V

    Thanks

H1Z1 runs like crap on a lot of things, I'd go for an i5 if you want it. i5 4460 is €180 or so. You can drop the SSD if you want to stay inside the budget, but I'd recommend

Hi Solititude, would you mind pointing me in the direction of website where I could get those parts at that price? Would I be able to use Dabs/komplett or would I have to look abroad?

Also, If I were to go for an i5 and exclude the ssd to stay within budget, would it be much hassle to add an SSD to the build further down the line?
    Cheers!

Mindfactory after geizhals.de is probably cheapest. It's a German site.

As above the i3 is enough for over 90% of games, but yeah an SDD is just plug and play whenever you want to add one

Ye I think Ive heard it, I had a build ready to go on Hardweareversand before seeing that thread about it going into receivership, bit of a shock to say the least haha. Hopefully there wont be the same problem with Mindfactory?

Sorry for all the questions first time buyer here! Thanks!

No worries, ask away. Are you just going with my build above?

Yes I think so, it seems to be good for my needs. I was toying with the idea of the AMD fx8320 for a while but I think I'll settle with the i5. I assume this build will be able to run skyrim at 60fps with the high textures or atleast come close, also Id say it'll be able to swallow CSGO with ease which is the game I'll probably play the most.
When using Mindfactory did you just use the auto translate for google chrome? What I am planning to do is order the PC in stages from them so that if there is any problems atleast itll only be one or two of the parts gone astray not the whole lot.
    Thanks!

AMD CPUs are a waste of money quite frankly, an i3 will game better than a 8350

This'll play anything with at least high settings, Skyrims will be a breeze for it.

They ship with a courier, the more packages you have the higher chance there is of stuff being lost. Plus you'll get shafted for delivery

The number of cores doesn't matter , as most games are only single or dual cored anyways. That will be slightly faster in some cases due to the better GPU, but as a whole its a worse machine. It's not worth €300 on the other one, the 6300 is worse than the i3

I can't stress enough how Intel CPUs are the way to go.

Ye will have to see what's my budget like with an Intel processor thanks for advice

Great, I think I'll just use paypal and buy it all at once atleast that way I am covered. Finally, is there anything else I'll need to buy (Exlcuding an OS) to be able to build it e.g. cables?

    No everything is included

In all honesty, no matter your budget, save up and spend that bit more on the Intel CPU. Go with an i5 processor as Digital said, it's going to far better for your needs.

    Go with intel cpu .
That simple. I had a 6300 and took it out and put in a i5. Worlds apart.
Cheaper to go intel from the off.
