    Patrickswell GAA Club, in association with Patrickswell Community Council, are delighted to announce the inaugural Jackie Houlihan Memorial Race.


    Jackie Houlihan (1926-2012) was a celebrated cross-country runner and resident of Patrickswell.  He achieved great success at an individual level and as the captain of the Limerick team, who won numerous Provincial and All-Ireland titles.   


    Date of Race: Saturday 19th September 2015


    Venue: Limerick Racecourse, SatNav 52.593595, -8.701151


    Directions: Take Exit 4 from the M20 motorway at Patrickswell. Racecourse is signposted.


    Surface: Grass (cross-country)

    Distances: Under 16s for 3,000 metres; Adults for 8,000 metres


    Start Times: Under 16s at 12.15pm; Adults at 1.00pm


    Entrance Fees: Under 16s €5; Adults €20

    Walk-up registration: Also on the morning of the race from 10am
