Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Better selection on Tassimo

Think there's better again on the Dolce one

I have both ,I got bored with the Tassimo and went and got a Nespresso.
I use the pods from Lidl and Aldi and find them nice though yeah 2 pods a go for a ok size of cup.

Tassimo online have a better range but not very strong.
If I ran out was harder to get a good selection in the shops, while the Nespresso has a better shop range and fairly cheap.

Nespresso is a nice little machine and sits smaller on the counter.

But both are good in their own way

Lidl pods are better than Aldi ones for me - they are individually sealed in foil bags/pockets as well as the seal on the pod, whereas the Aldi one just have the foil on the pod itself.

I think it preserves the flavour, but then i could just have convinced myself of that....:)

Fully agree with you there !
Super value are doing pods also at €1.99 a box 3 types not too bad and packaged like Lidl.

I've never bought 'real' Nespresso pods

Normally drink a triple espresso?

Nespresso is good if you're 'into' coffee. It's a bit pricey but I love the machine, the pods and cups. It's one of those fancy little things that's a pleasure to use and the coffee is great IMO.

Have both and prefer the nespresso all day long. Better flavour in the coffees. It does take 2 to make a full cup depending upon the size of the coffee you want and how strong. I don't like either the aldi of lidl ones, but the aldi ones have given trouble in my machine , if I run out of nespresso pods I like the coffee pod once I think they can be got in dunnes or the rob roberts ones.

I actually have 2 of the Nespresso machines. Got them as gifts 2 years apart.
I do use 3 pods for my morning cuppa. Use a single pod for coffees throughout the day.

The Nespresso seems so oh I guess posh would be a word haha
I feel into the hype of George

But having said that I do love them . Machine real easy to use and just popping in a pod for a shot is cool and I get to use my fancy little cups!

I'll rephase, Nespresso is good if you're into 'a posh coffee experience' :D
