Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hardly, this is the 4th game now. So far this season we have scored 2 goals, 1 of which was a own goal.

Rooney has had 2 clear good attempts, which a younger Rooney would have put away in his sleep.

Omg your calling them clear? Wtf

Rooney and Mata have both had chances. Not scoring is concerning but creating nothing is even more so.

It's been a good half to watch for a neutral. Both teams in it.

With a quality #9, United could be 3-1 up. Rooney left his hat trick boots in Bruges.

Swansea haven't scored so how would it be 3-1?

He's probably referencing Gomis nearly scoring and hitting the post.

Our #9 would have scored for them too.

omg, clear enough for someone on 300k a week.

So what you are saying is the level of chance is purely based around money?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 789 ✭✭✭Fakman87

I find this type of football so joyless.

No what im saying, is Rooney is being played in the wrong position. They clearly need a Striker. Or is 1 goal in 4 games exceptable?

Do you think they were they clear chances or not? I don't think so. Not the two I saw where Rooney reached for a ball bombed over the top and the other was the difficult chip\lob attempt from tight angle out left in the box. If I'm missing one apologies

Man Utd with a lot of possession but its mostly easy possession and only once have they gotten in behind the Swansea defense. It's that lack of dynamism that's causing Man Utd so many problems when they go forward.

Gomis looks dangerous when he goes down Blind's channel, but Swansea definitely missing Montero, Routledge just not at all effective. That being said they probably should be in the lead.

It's purile possession, possession as a defensive tool rather than an attacking tool.

Same. Looking for safe options when runners are moving. You have to take risks and we take none.

Hererra needs to get his ass on the ball more! Mike and Darmian are doing well again.

Another 0-0 on the cards for united after a midweek game, they're going to struggle this year, the sooner they get knocked out of the champs league the better if they want to challenge for the title.

Iv a feeling we will be seeing Fellaini soon, possibly Carrick.

    If there on the bench

Well, as a fan of simply enjoying my team being in the CL again, I'll not subscribe to this joyless way of thinking.

That was all kinds of horrible from Swansea, including the free kick from Shelvey.

    Nice finish though

The Juan and only Mata, nobody I rather see...scoring, good to see him get his league goal scoring campaign going.

England have no trouble producing full backs.

That's the second United attack today where someone was coming in on the far post. It's been far too long since we've had players doing that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

FFS, that all came from Rooney giving it away so cheaply

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

    Rooney giving the ball away.

Blind and Schweinsteiger will cost us this season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭Chagan

I'd be blaming Shaw and the CB's loose marking before Rooney for that.
