Sports club texting.. 2015 thread. Recommendations??

    Hi... Am starting a new thread looking for a good texting facility for a soccer club.

    Most of boards thread quite old... So am looking to see what people are using these days.

    Am thinking 10,000 texts a year. Looking for App facility as well.

    looking to keep costs less than 4 cent a message or so.

    All help appreciated

    Nexmo is your best bet at 3.7c per message. Most Irish companies cost a lot more and don't include VAT, so it can add up fast.

    I think we used Tesco Mobile. Top up by €15pm, and sign up to unlimited text package, and that gives you up to 60,000 texts a year. Not sure if it is still available or not.

    I think that many of those plans are being discontinued, and I know that many operators block the teating of more than 100 different numbers each month.

    200 texts free per month. After that, you can get 1000 texts for €47 incl. vat. Also, if the team members install the teamer app, it uses that for free instead of SMS

    That's OK. Nice looking, and probably very powerful, but still works out at 4.7c per message.

    Plus, Nexmo allows you to get your own specialised number with free inbound messages.
