Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Disgraceful if people actually go ahead and buy from such.
According to Musgraves (Supervalue) tickets.ie had a hardware issue after issuing tickets since 11am. More like their system couldn't handle the volume. Was advised to keep up to date with social media regarding further ticket sale

Got two last night at 12.20am after a lot of persistance.

It wasn't offering the "print your ticket" option. You had to pay for postage(hope they get here in time:eek: )

Is there a reason for this? Maybe it's to stop touts double selling print outs

Ticketmaster rely almost fully on printed tickets, trusting the venue to ensure only legits get in I assume. Why can't the GAA do the same?

Normally you can print them out. I buy Gaa tickets from tickets.ie all the time and always print them. This is the first time I've had to get them posted. Surley with the match only 6 days away it would make more sense to allow the usual print out option.

I can only surmise there was a problem at yesterdays match with self printed tickets and they've taken this out of play for the replay

I was in the Nally yesterday i've been there several times before. Did anybody notice the overcrowding ? They had people filling up all the steps right to the top. It looked like there was hundreds over capacity there.

Yea I just asked in Supervalue and they said they never received any tickets, system crash or something. So hopefully more will be made available.

Getting that message now too. What do they mean by 'currently' though? More might be released for sale?

Got an email from ticket.ie....all online sales are sold out!!
That's it from the online so. Super value next avenue. Then hanging around the club. Good luck with the search. 6 days and counting.

It would be nice to think that currently does not mean that it is fully sold out. I still have hopes they release some more few online tickets throughout the day.

Sound lads, I'll post back when online opens again,

You'd think this was ur first time buying tickets, the club allocations aren't in till tomorrow night lol.

They can only release x amount before club orders come in.

No more online sales I think.

Not to be taking advantage of panic here, but i'm desperate for hurling tickets. Got 6 Cusack last night but will swap all of them for 2 hurling final tickets. All at face value etc etc

Except that is sort of what you're doing.

You bought tickets for an event you have little interest in attending (I assume), to use as leverage for tickets you DO want.

Could you not leave the Mayo vs. Dublin tickets to Mayo and Dublin fans and get your hurling tickets without holding genuine fans to ransom?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,038 ✭✭✭Barlett

Keep calm, I can't remember the last time a replay sold out that wasn't a final, also I reckon only about 20,000 went on public sale, there's no minor match either. So everyone who wants a ticket will get one in my opinion.

No, when I bought the tickets I had every intention of heading along to the replay with a few friends. I'd say I attend multiple times as many football matches as many of the bandwagoners in the crowd, and as there were less than 10k Mayo fans at their most important match in Connacht this year (cant speak for Dubs), i'm not in the slightest bit guilty about taking a seat.

Just thought it might be mutually beneficial if a fan had tickets to a hurling game his county is not involved in. If anything by offering 6 for 2, im letting others take advatage of my panic

I don't know. I think it's different for this match. There has been no problem getting a ticket for All Ireland semi final football matches the last few years yet this match was a sell out. Even the 2012 semi between the same teams there were tickets available on the day.

I think the replay will be the same if not harder to get tickets after what happened in the first game. I've never seen the tickets.ie site crash due to demand for gaa tickets and I use it all the time

Fair enough, wasn't trying to jump on you there, it just didn't come across very good in your post. If you added all that you said there, I wouldn't have batted an eyelid. My bad.

Hope you get your hurling tickets, but I wouldn't count on that trade, there will be plenty of club tickets going around for the replay, so there's no huge panic yet.
