Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

House insurance renewal

My house insurance renewal quote came through from chill today. My current insurer aviva isn't the most competitive so they're offering a different policy provider.
When I checked aviva online it came in €100 cheaper than this new insurer and €150 cheaper than the renewal aviva offered via chill.ie
Can I go ahead with this online quote or am I excluded from taking this option as I'm an existing customer albeit via a broker?

Did the Aviva online screens ask you if you were an existing customer? If not (or they did and you answered truthfully) then you can accept the quote.

You need to keep shopping, there are loads of house insurers out there. Ask a Main St. broker as well as the online offerings. Keep an eye on the policy excess, as well as full Accidental Damage cover, that's where insurers cut corners the most
