Steve Abraham passed the 75,000km mark at the end of September. He's currently 17,000kms behind where Tommy Godwin was at this stage in his 1939 record (bearing in mind that Abraham lost two weeks due to the accident back in March).

Washed my Gabba in Nikwax and the fabric seems to be back to normal and water beads on the surface. I'll have to wait and see how it fairs in some showers!

did it have to be washed on it's own, and where did you procure the Nikwax please? Need to wash mine but holding off

I washed it on it's own and got in on chainreaction. My Gabba had turned into a complete sponge, I emailed Castelli for advice and that's what they said to use.
    Hi Alan

    Best recommended practice is

Always rinse with cold water (the shower is the best place for this) after each ride, this removes salt deposits and possible chemical splashes before they soak in.

When it comes to wash time wash in 30c using a non bio liquid / NEVER EVER use conditioners or biological products. But washing in a machine is fine.

Air dry (use a coat hanger to avoid creases.

When the Gabba stops beading the DWR treatment needs a top up use a proprietary wash such as Nikwax TX-Direct or PolarProof to reinstate the DWR (and deep clean the pores)

If you don't want to wait to get it from online and you're near one, I got mine in 53 Degrees North, they have a couple of items like that. I would say The Great Outdoors and Basecamp do too.

Aldi's Sweet red pepper Hummus + Doritos Chilli wave crisps + Beer = Lovely..

It's probably some sort of training plan that should be up on Strava.

    Beer being first.

    Beer being first.

Brew up some coinciding beers for it too...

Granny gear; low abv, low carb session IPA
Big Ring; 10% milk stout (get the post climb lactic acid in)

I'm sure there's loads more out there... These guys made a fair attempt; http://www.newbelgium.com/
