The only problem with firefox is it doesn't support the BOI java stuff which is annoying because you have to use IE then for that.

I also use Lynx, the text-only browser. I rather like it. Not much use for online banking or web mail, though it used to work pretty well, before web pages became like JavaScript apps.

I found that Lynx works 60% of the time, every time.

There is a very recent article about old Internet technologies still being maintained, I just found out:
    https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/9kwek8/long-live-gopher-the-techies-keeping-the-text-driven-internet-alive

Gopherpedia appeals to me straight away.

Transcontinental doesn't have a route, just 5 controls.

It'd be hard enough doing that for a 200km audax not to mind a 4000km odd event.

Friend of mine from Dublin, Turloch O'Siochain is doing it, 387 km first day!.

I think I do nothing but start imaginary arguments when out by myself!

Met another 2 Astana guys out for a spin today. Can't tell any of them apart in their gear but one seemed quite tall.

i'm thinking of getting a bike i can take down the shops for a quick spin, cos none of the three i have are suitable (paranoia about being stolen, unsuitability for other reasons); i saw a singlespeed asking €150 in a place which trains long term unemployed in bike mechanics - so it's one they've refurbished themselves. that price would be pretty much ballpark for such a beast, yeah?
