Desk Rental in South Mayo

Hi all

I'm originally from the Mayo area (outside Ballinrobe) now living and working in Dublin. I'm hoping to work from Mayo for a few months over the winter period and I'm looking for somewhere that I could rent a desk. All I'm looking for is a decent sized desk and a stable internet connection. Phone line would be helpful but not essential.

Does anybody know of any services in Ballinrobe, Claremorris, Castlebar out surrounding areas that might offer this service ? I found a place in Castlebar that advertisers this service, but when I called them they said they don't do it anymore. Likewise Galway Technology Center offer this, but told me they're fully booked out right now ... and I'd prefer get something a bit nearer to Mayo if I can.

Likewise, if there's local businesses who might have some spare space they'd be happy to rent out, feel free to PM me (don't think that's against the charter)

Hi IsThisOneFree, I know of a place in Ballina that has an upstairs they are not using. Was talking to them about using it for Craft Workshops. I'll check with them today to see if they would be willing to rent it out and about their internet quality. Pm me if you would be interested and I'll give you the details once I hear back from them.

IIBC should have spots, also there is an office space in Moneen where WestNet are that used to rent desk space.

Thanks for all the replies, I must try the IIBC, had forgotten about them. The place in Moneen (Castlebar Business Centre) is the place that said they don't do it anymore ... although even after I called them, they still have it on their website

I'll have a look at the Shannon Business Centre too ... is that the new place out the Swinford road ? Noticed it a few times, looks pretty impressive, every time I drove past I always thought it's a shame it's empty.

Also found about a new place in Headford ... The Hub in Headford (www.ourhub.ie). Dropped them a message on their website last night, waiting to hear back. Not South Mayo, but just as near to Ballinrobe as Castlebar would be.

Good luck with your search . I'd contacted the person but they said that it would not be possible. They did give me a phone number for the landlord as there is a unit for rent in the same building. I did mention to them that I doubt you would be interested in renting a complete unit. If you are interested, just pm me and I'll give you the details. No pressure.

No The Shannon place is in town, though that centre you mention might be suitable too. IRD Kiltimagh run it

Try Moy Valley Resources in Ballina, they rent out office of various sizes, and if they dont have one to hand immediately they might be able to point you towards someone else that might. Very helpful bunch in there, will do their best to see you ok.

Also you could try the local enterprise office in castlebar they might have some space/know someone with space.

Mayo North East based in Foxford might know someone.

All the above will have resonable prices too as they're in the business of helping new start ups etc.
