looking into this for the first time, £619 for 64gb 6S, that's about €842. Will that be much (or any) of a saving on the Irish price when announced do you reckon?

Yes 100% Irish iPhones are the UK model. And even the American models have LTE support for Ireland providing you don't get a CDMA one from the USA.

Not much higher, but higher none the less...

The UK Apple site allows you to pay it in installments but presumably requires UK residency.

Pity they don't offer anything like that in Ireland.

Basically the world phones A1687 and A1688 will do GSM/CDMA.

For the LTE bands, the frequencies used here I believe are 800 900 and 1800 so thats bands 3/8/20 which all are covered

I got the 6 plus and used the card from revolut to try minimize currency charges

Oh yeah, knew it would be preparing for a while, i was just waiting for the money to come off the card! didn't wanna over spend and then not enough funds to be in the account when they went to take it!

Im a bit annoyed with myself that iv waited before preordering

I went to order space grey 6S plus 16gb from the apple store and delivery is looking like Delivers 13 Oct - 20 Oct

Bit of a wait aint it. I wonder would I be better off just waiting for the Irish release? Typically how long do we wait for Iphones to hit us after the UK?

Could well be, might be an idea to go on the UK site now and try to book a store pick up for when you're arriving in Edinburgh?

64gb 6 Plus (Not the new S-version) dropped 40Euro on the Apple site, do ye think it will drop more when the new 6s Plus is released ?
