    What is going on with the helicopters does anyone know? Im living in Northwood Santry andI've been woken up by helicopters a lot in the past few months.
    But this morning there was 4/5 of them hovering over santry , and towards the airport. They were strange black lookin ones. That just hovered in the same place on my whole walk to work. They were so loud if not terrifying looking.

    Don't know what's going on but there going over Artane too. The noise is unreal.

    No, These are black helicopters just hovering for what I seen , at least a half hour.

    It's for a bullion or currency run to/from the Mint in Sandyford. Not an uncommon occurance.

    They could be garda choppers. They have IR camera on them to identify heat from grow houses, to find where weed is being grown illegally

    They were Air Corps helicopters providing security for transfers to the mint at Sandyford that were travelling along the M50.
