What does Kiltoom hold, 3,000? Been a few years since I was there, lot of work done on it I think.

Health and safety laws restricted Kiltoom to 3000 I think the capacity was 4,500. New scoreboard,toilets and terrace was done there recently.

The only meltdown Hennelly had in the final was the penalty, that gifted Dublin 3,they won by 1.

Correct, the mini melt down refers to the poor kick outs in the drawn final.
Hennellys mini melt down occurred in the first half, poor kick outs, one of which lead to the Keegan black card. It wasn't only the penalty, his confidence was gone by that stage

Connacht HQ deemed Ballyhaunis/Ballinlough no longer viable options for this FBD fixture because the Mayo following had increased since 2012 and larger crowds were following Roscommon also ever since gaining promotion from division 3.

Full Time Under 21 North West Cup: Mayo 1-12 Donegal 1-11.Mayo will face Sligo in the final next weekend.

Can't make the game tomorrow ,by all accounts it's going to be a very strong team selected.

There was also a comedy attempt at a '45 just before half time.

His kick outs in that half of football were the worst I've ever seen from him, his technique was shocking-too high and no pace on the ball.

Very disheartening when you see the guy at the other end casually drilling it fifty yards onto a guy's chest running at full pace.

Don't let anyone bother to give me any guff about Cluxton being the best ever and it's unfair to make the comparison.
He's the best ever because of the slog he has put in on the training ground while our lad was appearing on TV dating shows and having his hair done.

Kick a guy while he's down why don't you. He was put in that position and given the high profile and somewhat baffling nature of the change everything he did was magnified.

There were lots of the Dublin players who completely failed to perform on both days but when you don't get beaten and when you're out the field mistakes aren't highlighted as much.

On the free before half time it was the last play of the half. It was a shot to nothing. It was a poor attempt but I don't think there is any player in the country who'd have got that kick so I think criticising him for that is silly.

If Mayo are to get over the line in 2017 or further down the road there are a lot bigger issues to address than just a change of goalkeeper.

Any match report for somebody who attended the game would be greatly appreciated.

It still means Ros are through to the final? Or are Mayo through? A Galway - Mayo final would be a nice match to go to at this time of year.

Game-changer
THE introduction of Andy Moran on 67 minutes sparked an incredible comeback from Mayo as they set about rescuing what looked like an impossible situation.
Eight points down with 65 minutes on the clock, a bullet-like penalty from Cillian O’Connor five minutes later kickstarted the comeback.
Five minutes later Moran finished off a trademark Mayo counter-attacking move from close-range to keep things interesting.
And six minutes into added time, Moran cut in from the right corner to lash the ball to the roof of the Roscommon net.
Job done!

Talk of the Town
AROUND 1,600 people packed into St Brigid’s GAA grounds in Kiltoom for this local derby, and they certainly got value for money.
The teams served up 33 scores between them, including six goals, and both sides treated us to an exhibition of long-range point kicking.
Sunday’s game was certainly a lot faster and more intense than the previous outings against both NUI, Galway and IT Sligo, and it whets the appetite for their National League meeting on Saturday, February 25.

Did that just happen?
HIS two late goals weren’t all that Andy Moran treated us to on Sunday afternoon; he also produced one of the most memorable celebrations we’ve ever seen!
Not content with netting the late, late winner that broke Roscommon’s hearts, but he also nearly jumped the fence behind the goal — Eugene McHale in 1981-style! — after he scored.
Andy then proceeded to kiss the Mayo GAA crest on his jersey a number of times for effect, as he celebrated in front of some fans behind the goal.
It just goes to show, you can take Andy out of Ballaghaderreen, but you can’t take Ballagh’ out of Andy!

The Main Man
THERE are no shortage of contenders from both sides with Roscommon’s Enda Smith and his brother, Donie, both catching the eye, especially in the second half.
A lot of Mayo’s key performers did their best work in the opening period with Paddy Durcan, Danny Kirby, Fergal Boland, Kevin McLoughlin and Liam Irwin all showing some nice touches.
But, overall, we felt Kirby’s work-rate, ball-winning ability and appetite for the battle marked him out yet again.

Keep An Eye On
WITH two weeks remaining until Mayo welcome Monaghan to Castlebar for the opening round of the National League, Stephen Rochford hinted after Sunday’s game that he will pruning his panel.
Who goes, and who stays, will be worth watching out for.

What’s next?
ROUND one of the National Football League on Saturday, February sees Mayo roll out the red carpet for Monaghan.
Roscommon are away to Tyrone the following afternoon.

Even though it's only 2 weeks away I would be cautious about coming to that conclusion.

eir sports 1 will probably be showing it, they have an NFL game TDB for 18:50 on the 4th, pretty much has to be the Mayo game.

That's great news, back when they were Setanta in 2010 they did a great job of covering the games, they'd repeat them too so you could catch your own county and the other league games.

It's a missed trick in the past imo. They should show all the Div 1 and 2 games, it's part of the strength of the league and the interest it generates in teams around you.

They can only show the games on Saturday nights, if the ground has floodlights. Hence the likes of Laois getting so many games on the telly. Most county grounds don't have floodlights, unfortunately. It would be great to see the games spread around more.

I shouldn't have tuned in to the Louisburgh game, they were 0-8 to 0-2 up. They're 2-08 to 0-10 behind at HT. Good open game, some nice football being played.
