Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Process? €€€€

i.e. get membership of UEFA then apply for membership of FIFA. Yea, I imagine there is money involved if you want to be cynical about it.

Gibraltar can compete in UEFA competitions, not FIFA.

Also have to have a national league I believe, which the team is representing.

Which team are you referring to?

Another non existent display from central midfield.

What has James McCarthy done so far this game?? Whelan has take a few corners is all

Johnny Walters looking for 100k a week (according to reports), can't dribble past a Gibraltan postman

Really poor. We could struggle on Monday night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Well that was fairly rubbish. No passing moves at all really. Just cross field balls all half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,935 ✭✭✭Van.Bosch

And I thought watching Utd this season was boring....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭FatRat

Something to consider before people criticise this performance too much...

Gibraltar beat Malta 1-0. Italy beat Malta 1-0 last night. So Italy essentially drew 1-1 with Gibraltar last night :pac:

that was a stonewall peno v o'shea, poor finishing / lacking a little luck and that damn referee have cost us the second goal, that means the nerves will be put to bed...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,590 ✭✭✭CurryFlavoured

Could come down to GD between us and Scotland so they better start scoring.

This is their first affiliated tournament, they will be ineligible for the island games now (as far as I know)

Walters is terrible. It really says a lot about how poor a squad we have that he is a first choice striker for us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I expected us to have at least two by half-time. I won't be able to relax until that happens. I could see Gibraltar nicking one goal but not two. A second goal should kill this game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,947 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

Gibraltar risk being humiliated here. Have to get back in to it.

Ireland are playing like they don't want to know, or like they simply expect a win to just 'happen' after a day by the pool. I don't think you can do that against even the worst of teams. I would expect them to be a little sharper v. Georgia on Monday, if they have any pride at all, that is.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,247 ✭✭✭Meglamonia

Why are we hitting long balls against these? Should be playing it around them ffs.
