Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why you want me to hope again, Georgia?

Why do you want Georgia to win?

gives Ireland a far better chance of qualification.

Why do you want Georgia to win?

Because as usual, Ireland need other results to go their way.

    :(

Shocking defending from Georgia. This will be a stressful forty minutes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭Korat

    Wow Georgia 1-0 up!

    They'll never hang on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,243 ✭✭✭✭briany

Georgia will need to be careful about sticking the boot in. I think two of their players are already on yellows. What certainly won't be a help in trying to defend a 1-0 is going down a man.

    Close call there.

This is where Scotland will be able to score goals because running isn't doing a whole lot for them in that heat. Georgia will need to keep frees around their own box to a minimum while obviously not letting Scotland through.

Another dangerously placed FK for Scotland.

    Aaaaaand.....No goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,243 ✭✭✭✭briany

Georgia would do well to just Israel the f*ck out of these last ten minutes.

Im so anxious. Literally biting my nails. This could be such an important result for us! Reminds me of when we played Russia in Moscow 3 years ago!

Great chance for Moloney here . . .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,084 ✭✭✭✭Kirby

That was never a free kick. They better not score from this.....

Fecking Jackie Chan kick there. This could be trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,243 ✭✭✭✭briany

Another free kick around the box. Dangerous stuff, Georgia.

    Terrible result for Scotland

For this to mean anything to Ireland then a victory against Georgia at home is a must

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,243 ✭✭✭✭briany

Scotland getting more corners than a sectagon right now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,243 ✭✭✭✭briany

Yes, Georgia. Waste time. Waste it all.

Some turn up there. Scotland weren't good enough to break Georgia down and how this will affect their confidence. Naturally, Ireland fans would hope it affects it in a negative way. :pac:

    Gibraltar 0-0 Ireland!

    I shouldn't jest

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,681 ✭✭✭ColeTrain

Georgia are like that 2nd cousin everyone knows, sure you know who they are but you never see them and you generally couldn't give a **** what they do. Sometimes though, they do something remarkable and you nod your head and say 'well done cus'.

Only if we do the business on monday night (assuming there's no Steve Staunton Cyprus scenario tonight!).

Should that result come to pass, Ireland should just be put in a box and not allowed to come out until training for the 2018 qualifiers.

Although Scotland had some impressive results earlier in the group, I thought they looked very average against us in both games.

Georgia at home were hard to break down, we only did it at the death, so is it really a big surprise tonight?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,480 ✭✭✭✭cson

Northern Ireland playing the fairies means I can slightly justify leaving this here.

I think it's a bit generous to even say we broke them down, it was just a great bit of skill from McGeady iirc

Northern Ireland 1 up on the fairys. At worst there gona get a playoff. Could we draw them in a playoff?? Theyl prob be seeded in same pot as us but if we were in the other seed could be draw them or would fifa/uefa seperate us for political reasons??

Why would we be separated for political reasons?

    1-1 now

Germany bosses the game now but Poland on the counter score. Can woefully out of position

Germany are far from bossing it. Poland are making inroads down the left hand side and Lewandowski is causing all sorts of problems.

    1-1 now

Incase of trouble e la Albania Serbia etc.
