I was given a infraction on 1/9/15 without given a warning, PMed the mod, he/she said it was their discretion. While my post was off topic ive Been following numerous threads on the Galway section and there seems to be very little constancy, many threads go off topic and some mods appear to bend the rules. Also in correspondence with the mod they used the word 'dickish' which given my religion and culture to be extremely rude, unprofessional and offensive

Putting this to bed: there is no requirement to warn you not to be a rude smart ass: that's expected by default. In future, if you don't have something constructive to add to a thread, I'd suggest you sit on your hands until the temptation to be an rude and unhelpful passes.
