Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

With Chelsea in trouble we have a great shot of getting fourth but only if we make the right managerial appointment.

Unfortunately, I don't see Chelsea with a squad like that staying out of top 4.

If we challenge, it will be for Arsenal's place.

Fsg are clowns. They gave a manager they had waning confidence in a bag of money to spend in the summer. They're also probably going to have to pay off a bunch of new coaching staff they bought in this summer.... Just completely shambolic. I really expect them to screw up the next appointment too.... I'd be amazed if they appointed Klopp, and only slightly less amazed if it's Ancelotti. I expect the worst with them from now on.

They don't seem to be learning from their mistakes at all do they?

A fantastic, well written post. See, if everyone with an issue with the manager did things like this then there would be no issues from me.

I doubt this, have all along. They were committee signings.

fwiw Klopp tried to sign Benteke for Dortmund and will be very familiar with Firmino.

The new manager now has 3 months to work a new squad and decide if he needs new players in January and if he needs to get rid of players it is a good time to get a new manager in.

So Joe Allen was Rodgers last substitution for Liverpool, fitting.

That's it we're only six points off top, plenty of time to get the season together.

    Who the hell are you?

Would we get £4 million now for him if we tried to flog him?

Sorry to hear news, ah well, all the best Brendan.

Onwards and upwards, 4 pts off arsenal & man utd with Chelsea 4 behind, 8 games gone, whoever comes in isn't landing into a sh1tstorm Amway. Fingers crossed sturridge is available for 20 ish of the remaining PL games, top4 very much still attainable :)

Maybe Klopp would have been happy getting Benteke and Firmino had he been manager in the summer.

Jesus that's some turnover. Rodgers out and Klopp in on the same day...

Klopp or BVB at least tried to sign Benteke (May 2013), and yes I know how strange that sounds.

Just saw Rodgers thought we were clearly the better team today.

Nice to see he'd gone 'full-Hodgson' before his sacking.

I'd fear he has fallen too far into the abyss at this stage
