You need to go find parts for that, mine you don't.

I've already brick linked the parts as part of another order but I'm considering using nail varnish instead. Not sure how it interacts with ABS though.

No sure what brick linked means, don't know how nail varnish would fare as you'd need to apply a good bit to get enough friction.

No. There was a separate issue with defective parts for the American market.

I emailed them through the website yesterday requesting the fix parts, I got a confirmation mail last night to say the parts are being sent to me.

You need to do it through the website, not sure what the destination email address is. Steps as follows:

1. Go to https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-us/service/contactus
2. Select 'Replacement Parts' topic
3. Click 'Email Us' icon
4. A text area appears, follow on screen instructions. I said I had purchased and would like the replacement parts etc...
