Ian Sterling's volcano is one of my favourite things I've ever seen on Taskmaster.

    It's a poor season

Paul Sinha seems completely out of his depth. Ian Sterling is great though, he is really into it

I really like him on The Chase but this show isn't right for him. Struggled with the final task and the apology task was one of the oddest efforts I've seen in a long time.

In fairness they did explain he has a shoulder injury which hampered him in the final task. Still plowed through it though rather than abandon it, so fair play to him for that.

But yeah, when he's thinking of how to do a task especially he's very, very quiet.

Lou Sanders and Ian Sterling are definitely saving this series of it though. Greg and Alex are both on top form too, and Joe is still so f*cking weird and awkward that it's still funny to me.

I'm really enjoying this series so far.

You need people like Paul to realise just how good the other lunatics are. Joe looks like a traumatised deer in the headlights and its brilliant.

I think it's a great mix of guests with Greg and Alex really on fire again this year.

I think this is the funniest Greg has been, the quality of the tasks haven't been great but his analysis has been very good

Absolutely fantastic episode tonight, so many laughs. Iain and Paul in the prize task, Iain and Lou in the team task

Getting better each episode. Paul is still the odd man out, he doesn't seem at all comfortable.

Yep, agreed. When they mentioned he looked 10 years younger wearing the fake beard, i couldn't help but think "yes.. because it's hiding his quadruple-chins!".

Best episode of the series last night. Contestants are starting to find their place. Starting to get more creative with their solutions also, which makes a big difference.

Anyone know what the deal was with what looked like a broken pane of glass beneath the hammock for Joe's team task? I thought it may be referenced later but no mention of it on the show or web.

Last night was another excellent episode, even Paul managed to elicit some laughs with his Greg's mum gag

Getting better every week. Really enjoyed the tasks, the table tennis ball one at the end was excellent. Loved the little twist at the end. Greg and Alex are on top form at the moment.

I don't think it's been a great series so far, but it definitely has its moments. Iain and Lou have been fairly great throughout. Joe is hilariously awkward to the point where I think some of it is intentional but some of it definitely isn't. Paul and Sian can be hit or miss, but they were great last night. Sian with Romesh was brilliant.

I thought some of the tasks last night were weak however. I think they even had one more task than they usually do last night because there wasn't much they could do with the others. The one with creating an injury using food was mostly a dud imo.

Paul Sinha announced today that he has Parkinsons, might explain why some get the impression he's coming across as uncomfortable. It also explains his issue with his shoulder on one of the recent tasks

That Iain Stirling fella is painful to watch. He is incredibly irritating.

You could be in the minority there I reckon..

    .. very entertaining lad IMO.

Certainly the best of the bunch this year, although that's not saying much.

I'd put Lou ahead of Iain. She's wild in some of the tasks. But Iain has definitely surprised me and has been a great contestant this series.

Really? Jays I must be out of touch. He comes across as obnoxious, unfunny, "I'll shout to get my point across" and he is forever whinging. I guess I'm on my own.

I think most series' have had someone like that. Romesh, Al Murray, Aisling Bea, Rhod Gilbert. I think it can just come down to how funny they are outside of that (eg. Romesh and Rhod were hilarious, Al and Aisling kinda weren't).

I think you need someone like that to be "the bad guy" of the series, but it can be a fine line between whether or not it adds comedic value overall if they just come across as a dick. I think he's alright though. He approaches the tasks in an interesting way, he has good banter with everyone and I have to admit the task where he was arguing with Lou and apologised after seeing it back shows he's a decent enough guy too.

I've been meaning to ask, does anyone know what the story is with the "Kung fu" style stamp and music in the show this series? It doesn't seem to have any impact on the tasks/etc.

Every season there's a different theme inspired by a specific artist for the house, looks like this season they carried it over to the stamp and the intro music with an oriental theme.

Really enjoyed tonight's show. All 5 were good.

    Great episode again.

This series is brilliant, really enjoying it.

Pink Lady task was great, felt like a task they'd have from the earlier seasons

I think Ian is brilliant , a lot of the scoring by Greg is ridiculous so it's good to see him challenged time to time and good to see that he's really into it, some contestants (Russell Howard, Alice Levine) didn't give a ****

I think Joe Thomas is probably the brightest contestant to be on the show, he was veru impressive in the stage task with Sian

What an episode last night :D! From Lou feeding Alex burnt porn to the Human Centipede... "Get up my arse and wriggle" :D:D:D. Poor Paul though, that crawling had to have been agony for him a few days after shoulder surgery.

Looks unlikely Joe will catch Lou now, she almost definitely has it sewn up.

Get up my arse and wriggle is a sentence I never expected to hear on a TV show like this :D

The series has flown by, finale next week. I've really enjoyed it. I think you're right, Lou looks unbeatable
