Faulty Immersion Timer Switch

Hi all, Immersion timer is on the blink. When the switch is set to 'ON', I get hot water, but when its switched to 'TIMER', I am getting nothing, so need a new timer switch. Should I just replace like for like, or are there are some digital options out there that can offer more control? Thanks
