Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looks absolutely empty there, so much for an intimidating atmosphere

Time for the FAI to accept that ticket prices need to come down.

If you can't sell out a must win match, you're doing something very wrong.

The consequences of people not really caring any more. The team is not only poor but you don't get no sense of the intensity and passion the Irish team of 15 years a go, for example, would play.

The 15 Georgians have us outnumbered.

Jesus, there's more people in my living room.

How much would a ticket set you back for tonight?

You mean the one that was a perfect tackle?

It was reckless and dangerous. You get sent off for that tackle more times than not in today's game.

Lots of empty seats for a crucial game which should be competitive.

The FAI really are a joke.

How much does John Delaney get paid?

Wow. Stadium not even half full. Sad.

    €50+

I find that incredibly overpriced regardless of the nature of the game. €35 is the max I'd pay for an Ireland game.

Poor turnout alright, says me sitting at home down the road. Could not be arsed spending €35 or whatever it is.

40 euro for an adult. Considering tickets for the GAA at the weekend (for the football anyway) where 20 for the hill and the 30 for the stands; it's way overpriced.

The standard of this will be championship level. Ticket prices should be a lot less.

    Aviva looks about 80% full?

I wonder if the empty stadium is a combo of:

    A) Price
    B) Dubs/Mayo game
    C) Electric Picnic
    D) All Ireland

    C'mon teh fúck Ireland!

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

It was a nothing game until the Scotland result, it is a Monday night, and of course the prices.

3800 sold since that Scotland result, so nearly all of them :pac:

    Agree. We aren't Brazil.

Last game I was at was the 6-1 defeat to Germany. Paid €55 for the pleasure.

Reduced ticket prices, means more people in the door, more programes sold and more food and drink sold.

Surely that makes too much sense.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭Korat

It's a disgrace that there isn't a full house tonight. They should have given tickets away rather than leave empty seats for a game of this importance.

Poor crowd. Going to have to start doimg similar to the €10 tickets for the Cup Final if they want to start drawing bigger crowds to these qualifiers.

That was an All-Ireland final though.

Was an excellent tackle, got the ball and made his mark. The hallmark of good defending and something that is sorely missed when powderpuff players like stephen ward and Glen Whelan pull on the green jersey and look lost for 90 minutes

Great play there, made my Wes. Keane should have done better.
