Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need to pick the pace and tempo up big time. It's like a friendly match. Expected us to come out strong at the start with lots of energy.

Yes I agree but you'd have to say Poland/Germany are favourites for beat us to that spot

    3rd spot gets playoff

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Why would you EXPECT more, George? We've been playing like this for years!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 626 ✭✭✭Wedwood

The lack of urgency is astonishing given the importance of the game, Georgia look like they want it more.

What was that throw in? Real smack of "couldn't give a toss" about it. No urge to drive on here. Awful.

Need a Grealish type player in there.

Keane had 3 himself in the same time Poland have 3.

Poland could hit double figures though.

Yes, but it took us 50 minutes to get two on Friday night, amd one was from a pen, the other was an OG. Poland were 2 nil up from open play in 10-15 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Keane as slow as a boat there.

Ireland really need to crack on here. Scotland are a goal down, so that's one result going the right way.

The passing in the final third is so lazy. Crossing has been atrocious.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

This is dire. We'll have to up it massively just to be pedestrian.

    So close.

Top two go through, third go to play offs

Seriously? Is that a new rule or something ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

    Fcuk all width

McGeady and McClean should be starting home games and us giving it a fcukin go

The number of teams through to the Finals this year has been increased to 24, there fore the top two from each group qualify automatically, plus the best 3rd placed team. The remaining 8 3rd placed teams go into a playoff where 4 of them qualify.

23 qualifiers, plus the hosts france.

Had a feeling Scotland will sneak a draw.

No threat up front at all from Ireland. All too slow and predictable.

I switched over to Hampden for a minute and I damn near blew out all the windows in the house. Some difference in atmosphere.

I've seen teams suck before but these are the suckyest bunch of sucks that ever sucked!

  • Registered Users Posts: 626 ✭✭✭Wedwood

Half an hour gone and we've done nothing. Somebody get that Kilkenny hurler in to give the half time talk, clearly O'Neill thinks lethargic is a strategy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Id love to know what he sees in Walters.

Id like to see long and a wide player come on.

    Walters and whelan off

Holding out for a point. The man's a footballing dinosaur, expected nowt else.

Said it from day one. However he jumps up and down on the touchline when his teams score so he's fantastic in the eyes of some.

If Scotland, Wales and Norn Iron join England in the euros and we don't it will be beyond thunderdome.

Having McCarthy and Whelan who both, more often than not don't want the ball is the root of the problem.

    Worst pile of sh1t ever

Stop playing long balls then Ireland might look like the home team...
