Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Woeful stuff. Weather bad, but football worse.

Gooch has been awful so far

He has provided the only moment of quality in fairness with that quick foot pass into O'Donoghue.

Gooch has been awful so far

As commentator said, he is having to mark his own man, who is playing a lot of ball at the other end.

    Connolly at it again

    harsh yellow

Kerry are moving the ball well, they're just not finishing their chances, the weather is impacting on the quality, but still it's interesting so far.

Regardless of the weather that's a yellow always. Foot sliding in ffs

That's an issue for Fitzmaurice. He obviously hasn't been told to get back to the FF line yet.

Sloppy stuff in fairness. You'd swear it was the first time they played in rain with the amount of handling errors and misread bounces.

    Brogan is iceskating out there

Iron Croker now. It's all square. Any chance ref will blow full time and we replay this on a dry day. 2 lovely teams with lovely play but so many slips, drops etc that it's being ruined.

Mind you they should be used to it being Irish, but it's definitely a big factor in the game and ruining atmosphere

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,666 ✭✭✭Howjoe1

can they use a velcro ball for the second half?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 918 ✭✭✭RoscommonTom

    the gouch is playing useless

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,666 ✭✭✭Pink Fairy

Dublin free after all that, laughable

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,488 ✭✭✭Andre 3000

    Looked wide tbh

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,722 ✭✭✭nice_guy80

    very poor stuff

Kerry doing their level best to throw the game away

On a dry day I think Dublin would be much further ahead. Kerry seriously struggling

It seems being pulled around the neck isn't a free anymore

The Gooch running and trying to block McMahon is a strange sight. Fitzmaurice should just lump Donaghy in full forward and hope he'll strike lucky again like last year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 918 ✭✭✭RoscommonTom

    fitzmaurice is panicking

Dublin the better team in the first half and deserving of their 4 point lead at ht
Kerry will have to sort who is marking McMahon who has now scored more than his marker, Gooch
Ht has come at wrong time for Dublin

He's playing to deep bringing his man in the game not
You have the most gifted player in the country playing like a poor half back

why wasn't that free brought forward 10 metre when the Kerry player kicked the ball away?

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,795 Mod ✭✭✭✭Say Your Number

Darragh O Se was looking stressed going in at half time

Very impressive from Dublin. Much better use of the ball.

Atrocious from Kerry so far. They were dominant for 10 or 15 minutes but hit wide after wide. Since then even basic 5 yard handpasses have been messed up. Can't blame the conditions for that.

It was but Connelly took it quick anyway

It was but they chose the quick free instead

    A two trick pony

Remember that Derry won the All Ireland in these conditions in 93.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,467 ✭✭✭Very Bored

Very poor by Kerry, they look like an inexperienced team finding their feet which, of course, they're not.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's a similarity between the hurling and football here though. Kerry know they have let themselves down in the first half, similarly to us two weeks ago. They can react in one of two ways, they can crumble or they can come out fighting in the second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,269 ✭✭✭threeball

Not as bad a game as many are making out. Great pace and commitment. Hard to control a ball in these conditions at that speed

Dont see Dublin not turning up at all like we did.

Dublin (in spite of what Colm O'Rourke said before the match) are actually the team with the precision in this game and Kerry are very lucky Dean Rock didn't finish that goal chance.

Paul Flynn is playing a very good defensive role for Dublin and Ciaran Kilkenny and Jack McCaffrey have been top class so far.Philip McMahon's point at the end was a thing of beauty.Colm Cooper has been very quiet so far for Kerry and Dublin's kickout has improved significantly since the first 10 or 15 minutes of the game

Conditions are dreadful and you can see that from how a lot of the players are struggling keeping their feet never mind keeping control of the ball.Bernard Brogan is struggling big time and when one of the most skilful players in the game can't cope with the wet conditions it must be pretty slippery. The Croke Park Pitch in general tends to be like an ice rink on a wet day.

Not the teams fault but very uninspiring. A bad end to a pretty poor year for the GAA.

    Roll on 2016

just an observation, but he didn't seem to indicate the free was being moved forward as I saw it .........I could be in error though
