Not the teams fault but very uninspiring. A bad end to a pretty poor year for the GAA.

    Roll on 2016

I cant understand how people are so down on this final. At least theres positivity, not like last year. Mistakes unavoidable in conditions like that with people operating at sprinting speed.

just an observation, but he didn't seem to indicate the free was being moved forward as I saw it .........I could be in error though

He did, they should of brought Cluxton up for it. Kerry lucky to be only 4 points behind so far. The Mayo games have been very good for Dublin.

Can't understand why Cluxton wasn't brought up for it.It was well within his range.

Par for the course football analysis these days. Everything is sh1t. Even when it's not.

    McMenamen would wreak havoc here

True, and possibly the same applies for Darren O'Sullivan

Kerry seem to have stopped trying to frustrate Cluxton's short kickouts

Because it's terrible to watch. Already acknowledged the conditions are terrible and not the teams fault. If this is your idea of entertainment then fair enough, but it's not mine.

The most disappointing aspect of it all was that it could have been a brilliant game. ****ing rain.

I would bring on Darren O Sullivan

Pitch Makeup At ground level the drainage system installed is connected to huge suction fans which allow us to blow air through the pitch and suck water out. These pipes are covered with a 300 mm layer of permeable pebble stone which has a drainage rate of about 900 mm per hour. Over this a carefully selected Wexford sand forms the lower rootzone into which the undersoil heating system is installed. The undersoil heating system works on a series of hot water pipes transferring heat to the sand rootzone. The sand continues to a depth of 260 mm with a specialist fibre stabilising agent tilled into the sand to keep the surface stable. On top of this is a 40 mm specialist sod which is a 100% natural sandy loam soil. The sward (upper layer of soil) is covered in 100% perennial ryegrass. During the returfing operation in July 2009, 1500 roles of turf were installed on the pitch in just 3 days with games played immediately afterwards. The pitch also has a fully automatic irrigation system which allows water application for grass growth and preparation for play.
Its also like an ice rink with the slightest bit of rain.

Manys an All-Ireland final win have been inspired by a half time speech.
Let's see if anything happens here

Dublin could rue these goal chances.......

Dublin should keep taking their points rather than try to kill the game with a goal.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,342 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Dublin should have wrapped it up with a few goals in the last 5 mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,380 ✭✭✭STB.

Hope its not going to one of those days..... The goals just wont go in!

What is this obsession by the commentators with Donaghy?! With the way Kerry are playing he wouldn't see the ball up front so he wouldn't solve any problems.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,640 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

A goal for Dublin will finish Kerry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,151 ✭✭✭kupus

For all the goal chances dub are getting, they're still only two scores ahead. It's not over yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Much better from Kerry there without getting the score.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,047 ✭✭✭Injuryprone

Kerry look like their neighbours cork today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,380 ✭✭✭STB.

Dubs need not get dragged into scraps...

He changes kerrys mindset about how theyre to play. Cant be any worse than they are now.

    OMG

    a kerryman penalised for overycarrying!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,003 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Exactly... But I think Kerry will try and do that, get a bit more cynical. Dubs have been the much better team but it's a 2 point game. I'm worried about those missed goal chances.

Dublin throwing this away, they should be several points up at the moment.
