Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Permanent TSB - Cheque Clearance

    Hi there

    Forgive me if this has been asked before - I bank with PTSB - lodged a PTSB cheque to the account on Friday and I am being told it will take 5 working days to clear - the cheque is also drawn from PTSB and it is the same branch - I know the money is there for it to clear and yet I am being told this by person on their open24 call centre - is this correct - inter bank I can understand, inter branch at a push, but a cheque from the same branch taking a week to clear ? ? ? Anyone else have any experience on this ?

    5 days is unfortunately normal for antiquated cheques even with the same bank. A SEPA wire would have been same day or subsequent business day at the latest.

    They are supposed to clear these cheques on the day and lodge to your own account as cleared funds. Especially for own bank cheques. You should mention next time when lodging. It's bizarre that it's 5 working days for that.
