it depends on who you've booked with, it should be on the e-mail with your booking, there were some yurt type things there last year (though they could well have been just very large bell tent type things).

There were a couple of good ones later on in last years thread, will see if I can dig them up after work. but basics

    1 - large wet wipes
2 - micro fibre large towel
3 - sleeping bag and camping gear
    4 - solid walking boots
5 - chapstick / sun protection spray / skin moisturiser
    6 - rain gear
    7 - hat (sun + cold version)
    8 - Box of balloons
    With the feather-light touch
    Pack of party-poppers
    That pop in the night
    9 - some beer etc..
    10 - tent food
11 - portable phone charger (aim for 10,000mAh or higher)
12 - bag for wet gear
13 - spare clothes in car
14 - fleece or other for evening (it gets bloody cold at night)
    15 - camping chair
16 - cash (the atms get mobbed)
    17 - painkillers + rennie type things
18 - torch (I take two, a small v.powerful hand held and a head lamp type)
19 - water, lots of water
    20 - a lighter, even if you don't smoke, it's worth having.
21 - bog roll x 2 + toilet wipes (I am v.large male in mid 40s but they make my festival botty uber smooth and clean)
    22 - your bloody ticket!!!!!

I'm going to expand this as i think of stuff.

And just to add a list of what not to bring
1- CANDLES - be cool, don't be crispy
2 - FLARES - be cool, don't be shot to death with balls of your own sh1te for being "that" tosser
3 - GUITAR - we will have a Mr. N Gallagher on site over the weekend, any attempts at wonderwall will result in you being shot to death with balls of your own sh1te
4 - SENSE OF SHAME - it's not needed for the weekend

Pair of gloves for holding your frosty beer can at night.

In addition to the usual essential toiletries, Dioralyte

You may get some strange looks in the shop, but definitely bring black sacks and duct tape! If there's anything that needs to be kept dry, or anything that needs to be fixed on the spot - they're all you need!

Before you leave, try put all your clothes into a black sack. This will keep them dry while you walk to the campsite or in case your tent isn't as waterproof as you originally thought.

And two spare lighters in strategic parts of your jacket.

Seems to be a whole new set of stricter rules re campervans and caravans in comparison to other years and if enforced could lead to chaos!

"There must be a door that provides access to the living accommodation.
It should be a living accommodation vehicle with fitted sleeping facilities and either fitted cooking and/or washing facilities (A screwed in bed with a washing up bowl and/or cooking facilities would not be permitted - they must be fitted).
There must be a water storage tank or container on or in the vehicle, and/ or a permanently fixed cooking facility within the vehicle powered by gas or electricity."

"No tents or awnings may be erected in the campervan/caravan fields, for fire safety reasons."

"Please note for Campervan/Caravan passes the purchaser will be required to bring the original proof of purchase and supporting ID to site along with their pass. This is to prevent touting of Campervan/Caravan passes)."

    Should be fun.

I hope this is enforced, serious chancers selling €80 campervan passes for €300+.

Might fûck over genuine resales though.

Why we don't have the "transfer tickets" feature that ticketmaster US has I do not now.

yep, just not the opposite way.

I am pretty sure that those are pretty much the same as last year. Definitely the awning one was there last year .. not sure about the id/proof of purchase.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,501 ✭✭✭PabloAndRoy

    Fixed.

eh ... not quite .. fire regulations are the real reason that you must have 3 metres between campers. Plenty of room for our awning which will definitely be going up.
