I'm not sure rock festival and swimming is a terribly safe combination.

Lads full of drinks going into a lake, it won't take long before the lake is full of piss.

Any sign of Pablo Android's Unofficial EP App this year?

It won't be for another few weeks I'd say, sure only half the festival site has been built at the moment and you know how sloppy EP are with releasing the times and schedule, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday before the festival would be a more realistic time for Pablo to have anything down.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

I'd rather put my kids in the synchronised diving pool in Rio than in the lake at EP and that's saying something!

It really looks like they are clutching at straws trying to spread the crowd out a bit.

Wouldn't look at it too harshly, there's a lot more bodies, need to keep them occupied* and it might appeal to some (perverts and sado masochists with a fish fiddling fetish)

(*apart from the obvious putting bodies on stages)

Cannot believe I didn't think of this earlier, Sept 4th will mark the 10th anniversary of the death of the beloved Australian naturalist Steve Irwin.
In his honour we should release a few crocs into the lake.

Nah, sure the crowds only concentrate at night when the lake will be closed. There is no over crowding during the day.

Just a bit of a gimmick, might be good fun if we get a bit of sun.

We were over there tonight for the annual get excited as ****ing possible routine. Lake looks horrendous, unless they clean it out which I honestly can't see happening then I doubt many parents would let their kids into it.

Nice to see so much happening already mind, seats for main stage up with pallets of roadways ready to be laid. lighting for walkways naturally the first thing to be up

As someone from Stradbally I am warning you all to stay well away from the lake. The water is absolutely filthy and its not out of the ordinary to see dead animals (sheep mostly) floating around. Id hate to think what you would pick up in their.

Thought it was a pretty weird thing to offer and I would never even think about doing it

I wouldn't even have a go of the hot bath tub things either tbh!

Id worry more about who you might pick up in there

Swimming in the lake is a really strange one??each to their own and safety aspect aside, I just don't see the attraction to do something like that at a music festival!!

Judging by the 2.2k comments (yes 2200) under the Facebook post about it, neither do the general public!

So many have said the water is pretty bad, how can this be? The lake is fairly secluded isn't it?

It's towards end of summer so it depends on amount of water going into it keeping it fresh, warmer temperatures and agricultural run off (it is in "de country") would aid algae bloom. Could well be kinda funky.

They would be interesting but judging from the recent reports I've heard about their festival sets I don't know really, will they still be a DJ set or will they actually bring the band.

Maybe there will be a liquorice ostrich there.
