Is 'Todd Terje & the Olsens' not just him DJing with the trannies in tow?

nah there's a few instruments around! and it's all his own songs, when a DJ set is random songs with a few of his interspersed. that's what he did at his DJ set in casa bacardi 2012 anyway

    Socks. Lots of socks.

    I don't believe in wellies.

I'd change you beliefs on wellies :D

Wellies and shorts during the day if its raining, a decent rain coat, and plenty of dry clothes especially socks

Going by the website it says Todd terje only but specifies the olsens at other dates so I assume it's dj set.

Also he is totally not what I thought he looked like!

    Party tent in Woodies? Ha.

Nice and spacious anyway. Are you really bringing that? If so, is it easier to put up and is it water proof?

Well there is probably 20+ in the group so it'll possibly be needed.

Picking it up tomorrow so not sure what's the story with it yet.

House/ Techno - they get some good names over to play in Dublin

I'm guessing that they'll be leaning more towards techno, as lots of District 8 bookings are techno* and they're following Adam Beyer**.

*that's more down to the promoters on any given week tbf.
** with a 15min gap between them for some bizarre reason

Mostly Techno. They're very good unfortunately for me they're clashing with others.

If it's anything like Todd Terje's Longitude set it's kind of a DJ set/not really with live keys.

Reminded me of Tourist Boiler Room a bit but much more lively:

I've seen them before and they're not that great tbh. It's just 2 lads in leather jackets and fancy helmets playing Daft Punk CDs.

Just took a look at them. They certainly don't have fancy helmets either!

What more do you want? Peacock feathers? They're decent replicas like. No pleasing some goombas.

might be a live set (ableton, midi controllers etc). either that or just a regular DJ set. probably more likely a DJ set as they haven't specified "[live]".
doesn't seem to be a full live band anyway.

Why would I want feathers? That would be inaccurate. The dude wearing the Guy M helmet has to have his photo taken with him looking to the right as it's all bashed and scraped on that side. They are mediocre replica helmets. I guess they don't get that well paid so can't invest in better gear.

Tribute acts aren't my thing. But if that's what you want in a festival then go and enjoy it.

Only real annoying ones for me.

    years & years vs LCD?

    Devastated about this......... :)

You have to admire the beauty of this bit of scheduling! we're always complaining about clashes but in this case it's the perfect mix. There's only one person that wants to see both LCD and Y&Y and that's SRM23.

On here because you're all oldies! :P every one i know ( <21 yo) is devastated by years & years and lcd soundsystem clash! The main one in my opinion. I still have no idea who i'll see, probably lcd though. Closer to dying, les slikely to see them again.
