    In the festival republic news letter from earlier;

    "Radiohead, Kings of Leon, Major Lazer and New Order have just been announced for Lollapalooza Berlin. This year's festival will take place at Treptower Park."

    Radio head must be odds on for the EP now!!

    I wouldn't be too excited about Kings of Leon either. They really just go through the motions live.

    Seen them at rock werchter 2014. Thought they were going to be awful and play all the new stuff but they played an amazing set to be fair. A lot of old material.

    If they are the Sam smith of this year to give diversity why not. I'm sure everyone will be happy.

    Upset Flume is at FF this year, EP is a perfect festival for him.

    If coachella are breaking their arse to get them they are definitely headliners now.
    Like any band that finishes up prematurely there is an envitable growth in interest for a good few years after and the 3rd album didn't have that much time to grown on people . Add that, the film , the sustained profile murphy has kept from djing and producers, the "never thought we'd see them again" and the whole "trendyness" some people have to liking them and you have a pretty big name.

    That tripod gig could have sold ten times over and the tent in 2010 was absolutely rammed the last time they played.

    Its hard to gauge how exclusive this tour is meant to be, some odd dates in there and there is something very precarious about the whole thing. I wouldn't be shocked if they did or didn't play Ireland to be honest.

    When Bjork headlined the main stage on the Friday of EP 2007 LCD closed the main stage, what would you call that, was Bjork the headliner or sub headliner for LCD Soundsystem. Was the closing act called 'after headline' or was it simply a sub headline set by both acts. I suppose the headline act is counted if their set finishes before the last buses leave or something like that :confused:

    Edit: Just noticed the poster circa 2007 Bjork's name is bigger.

    Probably the band that I've seen live that have performed the 2 widest extremes in the times I saw them. Absolutely brilliant the first time I saw them years ago and saw them again during 'Come Around Sundown' and it was like a really bad cover band.

    I remember that year having the first real Friday traffic catastrophe - some mates that got to Portlaoise at 5pm didn't get into the festival until like 9pm or something. They were doubly raging because they missed LCD.

    Interesting. Maybe i caught them on a bad night so…The Point, maybe 5 years ago. They just looked so bored.

    Made me wonder if the sex he deemed to be 'on fire' wasn't really all that great after all!

    I'd love to see Of Monsters and Men play. They're touring from March 10th, and they hit Europe in June. Their website only shows tour dates up to July 17th though.
