He's playing festival #6 on the Sunday acc to his site so he would be a very short flight away for the Friday or the Saturday.

Just in case anyone wants to talk about something other than tickets.......

What is the story with RBMA not being on the promo material?????

Now I know the acts for it don't get announced until well into Summer however I do think it's suspicious they're not mentioned along with Salty Dog, Mindfield, Casa Bacardi et al on the posters.

Would be very surprising if the space itself didn't continue to host some sort of electronica type of activity.

A new direction ahead for Ye Olde Rave in the Woods?

Personally, I'm expecting a 72 hour Daft Punk residency as some sort of riposte to James Murphy and his Despacio tent from last year.

I noticed this too but I wouldn't worry about it too much. It wasn't on the initial poster announcement last year either, although it did appear on the poster after the second/third announcement.

I think it could do with a bit of a revamp alright. Not sure whether it's me getting older or whether it's lost a bit of its appeal but last year I really felt as if it was full of people who were there for the sake of it rather than because people were really into what music was on display. Having said that, it probably did take a lot of this crowd away from other areas in the main area which could be looked at as a good thing.

I would love to see them either get 3 big hitting headliners or else go down the route Body & Soul take by allowing different collectives (Mother, Hidden Agenda, etc) to take over the woods for each night and focus mainly on local DJs. Can't see the latter happening though especially if Red Bull stay as the sponsors.

Initial thoughts would have been meh to him but a bit more thinking and he'd put on a great singalong type show given the volume of stuff he's written that is actually genuinely good.

Yeah, that whole album is a perfect summer album, it'd be perfect for the Picnic.

If they couldn't get Radiohead I'd be worried about their chances of getting the Avalanches.

or I could just hope he's not booked and they book someone I want with that presumably large amount of money.
The only time I want to see him is when Oasis tour Morning Glory in 5 years or so.

Christ that Primavera line up is the stuff dreams are made of.

If you'd told me a year ago that LCD Soundsystem, Radiohead and the Avalanches would be playing, I'd have laughed in your face.

Now does anyone know where I'll get a ticket...

    --

Vampire Weekend and Grizzly Bear both played a Bernie Sanders benefit last night. First Grizzly Bear show in over 2 years and only VW's second one I think. Neither have announced extensive tours so might be unrealistic to hope, but they'd be excellent additions to any festival over here.

I'll be happy with new albums, though.

No need to worry about that, it will be all dodgy versions of Starman or Space Oddity this year.

Very unlikely, and if there are any, it'll be a tiny amount.

Girl Band added to the Body and Soul Festival, so won't be at EP (their only Irish festival this year they say)

Daniel Avery is playing on the Saturday night according to his own tour dates.

So I tweeted on the EP Twitter to maybe make the next announcement so that we have something to talk about on the Boards.ie EP thread.

Yeah just ran breathlessly to Channel 2 and caught their last few numbers, excellent stuff, I remember them on Jools too, wouldn't mind seeing them myself. The one with the crazy hair is like a Latino Bjork.
