Had a fantastic time at this last year, hoping for the same again! Weather looks ok for Saturday but Sunday is not to be great. Fingers crossed anyway.

Is this the one where the pig got free last year?

    Ha it was

interesting that most posts seem to run forever on any negatives the City may or may not have - Harvestfest is on since Friday, I believe today was a great day around town but hardly a mention on this thread. Go figure!

    Speak for yourself...

Nobody's expecting a blo by blo of events, I'm sure when it's over we'll get peoples reactions.

I will be there shortly myself.....

I enjoyed Saturday ..........met a lot in interesting people / had many interesting chats .

Saw some kids really amazed when they were been shown where milk comes from ( as the farmer was milking the cow )

Got sound advice from a GIY - grow-your-own specialist .

Had Polish food , which I would never try out before .

Enjoyed the Tango dancing and all the other bands / musicians .

In fact I ended up giving advice on a certain product when my knowledge was more comprehensive than the person behind the counter, :)

Spent 5 hours there and overall a very enjoyable day .

I was in around for all three days. Friday was quiet mostly due to the weather, Saturday and Sunday were great, lots of families, a nice vibe around the place, good food and music. Congrats to the organisers.

Wanderer78, you say its not your type of thing, thats a lil odd IMO, presumably you are not into food, drink, music, doing something a bit different, etc. even still, its not your thing but you found time to spread your miserable opinion about people. I think the main problem out there is some short sighted people who are stuck in a rut, need to shake off the negativity and do something different

Loads of people about saturday and sunday when I was in there, they might have all been from outside Waterford. Down in the park saturday and main event Sunday, fantasitic festival as always. Thankfully weather held sunday as it was pretty rank elsewhere in the country.

what can i say, im an odd chap. ive successfully found a way of surviving on misery alone. who needs these things called food, drink and music. im afraid these things alone are not different enough for me but im discovering my own oddities to survive life. night time mountain biking is back on! Ooh Rah. things have to be very different for me im afraid in order to get excited but glad the weekend went well and some folks got out and about
