What is flying over Claremorris?

    Large numbers of what look like lit balloons have been passing over Claremorris for at least ten minutes. What are they?

    Finished now. There were dozens of them. Seemed to be low in the sky, passed over the town centre and seemed to be coming from the south. Anyone else see them?

    Ah, found a reference to it:
    This Wednesday 09/09/2015 @9.30pm we are gathering at Claremorris Boxing Club to light and release sky lanterns to brighten the sky for World Suicide Prevention Day (10/09/2015)
    They looked amazing going over the town. Wish I had gone closer to the source.
