    Hello everyone,
I urgently need a review on Bachelors walk apartments. I recently went for a house viewing there. And, I'm quite confused because I don't know if it's really a residential place. When I tried to Google, I found it listed on trip advisor and bookings.com
Additionally, in general I've read quite unpleasant things about o'connel Street being very unsafe.

Do you think it would be wise to rent here? Does anyone know or has had any experience with these apartments?

Good centrally located apartments, usually on the small side but the same can be said for most city centre apartments.

The apartments overlooking the Liffey can be a bit noisy with the windows open, otherwise not too bad. The apartments overlooking the hotel can also suffer from noise over the weekend.

Great location if you socialise in the city, security is quite good and if you're worried about O'Connell street just don't go down it.

    Thanks a lot, Graham.
Just to clarify I'm looking for renting long term as a residential place and I'm not a tourist.

Ever since I saw the apartments listed on bookings.com and TripAdvisor. While at the same time on daft, I've been quite confused. Are they mainly rented by tourists? Do you have any idea about this?

Mainly long term tenants although it's probably worth checking if the apartments in the immediate vicinity of the one you're looking at are available as holiday lets.

Thanks a lot. That's a great suggestion. I'll surely try to look this up. :) Thank you.

I have a friend living there, and viewed one myself as a potential tenant. They seem like a very nice complex, the security is good, common areas very well maintained. The actual apartments are very very small though, especially the kitchens. I'd recommend trying to get one facing into the courtyard and on a higher floor. Definitely avoid anything on the ground floor facing out to the streets, just not worth it.

They're mostly residential, I'm sure some of them are let out on a short term basis to tourists though. But it's very large complex with a couple hundred apartments, most of them are normal rentals/owner-occupiers.

Thanks so much. Your answer was very helpful.

Unfortunately, as luck would have it. Last night the owner messaged me and said that they gave to house to someone else. Some corporate company or something.

Another house slipped through the hand. :(

Many of the CC apartments are rented through AirBnB these days. If you can deal with the hassle (for example you live in the complex yourself or near by) you get a massive return, no problem with long term tenants rights and who knows maybe the occasional horny tourist.

That's why you're seeing review for short stay in the same complex.
