I bought a bungalow 3 years ago. The house is 10 years old but we are finding it very hard to heat and keep warm. The heat is on a timer for those times, in the evening we switch it for the bedroom so only the bedrooms get heated in the morning. In the morning we switch it to the living areas so only those rooms get heated in the afternoon and evening.

If it's very cold we do turn it on manually for a while when needed.
