Anyone doing this half marathon? It's local to me but I'm doing a different race this weekend. Would be interested to hear some feed back from anyone who does it.

    The Sligo shakedown more like.
Glad to see Sligo AC rose above it and are letting their good organisation of races past and reasonable entry fee to their coast to coast 10m race do the talking.

27th of Sept: Coast to Coast €20 entry

Who's behind the race? It's definitely a rip off. Hope there is a good turn out for the coast to coast next week.

I couldn't believe the entry they were charging and in fairness most people, myself included thought until very recently that this was in fact the Coast 2 Coast.

The club could have been up in arms at the usurping nature of the timing of this event obviously cashing in on the Wild Atlantic Way but they were well mannered (in public anyway) ;)

The original Coast2Coast is not even a "club event", it is a charity event for Carer's Association, supported by local club. Still over 300 people paid to do the recent half and they are planning for next year, so marketing pays..

It seems they have a "discount" in place for early entries.
On further reading they still want €53 euros but give you two entries for one.

    Wonder who is behind it.
On the face of it you'd suspect that gangster who has a shop in Sandyford Ind Estate as the website seems above his efforts hence the dev managing it.
Only others I can think of would be ryano or the Connemarathon crowd.

According to the CRO the business name WILD ATLANTIC RUN is registered to a person or company that shares an address with Beaumex Ltd., if that helps.
