What's this album you're all going on about?

Drones. Ticketmaster email you a code to redeem the latest Muse album for every ticket you buy. Some people already have the album and are thus giving their codes away free.

    Ahhh ok.

Would have been better if it was say a special edition live version of the album or something with a bit of novelty like new b-sides or covers.

Muse were always on the ball in regards to doing unique releases

Drones is their best album since BHAR.

Infinitely better than Resistance and 2nd Law!

Better but not by loads, still a lot of lazy, soulless tunes in there.

Still poor by old standards though imo.

I'll enjoy them live though I'm sure.

Ok I have to say Absolution and BHAR were the high points for me with the likes of hysteria and SMBH showing Matt's genius but I honestly don't think they've released a bad album. They all have there high points. Madness, undisclosed desires, Uprising. They have so many good songs it's hard to remember them all. One of my personal favourites is Map Of Your Head from Hullabaloo, just does it for me every time. Playing acoustic I appreciate it more probably, but it still just sounds amazing with headphones!

I'd consider 2nd Law and Resistance as bad albums, quite bad albums really. Not every song has to be awful to have a bad album.

I think you should all check out the Making of the 2nd Law before your call it a 'bad' album. More musicianship, experimentation, quality sound engineering and production when into it then any of their previous albums. It's one of my favorites now and especially after I saw it live a few years ago in the Point.

If I was to rank Resistance though it would definitely come last!!

I don't really need to see the making of any album to know if I liked it or not to be honest. Some bands spend years doing albums, it doesn't mean it's going to come out great. I think I read a review around the time it was out that had the phrase 'obscene over inflation' or something like that, I think that describes it well.

'Zactly.... Few good songs, overall poor album. Effort and production is worth sh4g all if you don't like a song.
