    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

No surprises there. In my humble view that's the best bangernomics find of this year so far. I was tempted to buy it myself. Just for the craic :)

Now I know trying to sell a convertible in the middle of winter is a bad idea :p

But just one phone call from a gentleman in the North (who might be going to the Dublin area maybe next week) and one lowball offer on adverts is not quite what I expected. Any tips? What would you do?

Wait for the sun to shine through .... Possibly needs to be under the 1k mark also IMO.

Wash and polish it and take it to the coast for some nice pics in the fine weather we are having at the moment. It's nice that you are upfront and honest in your ad but I'd remove the part about it being a "northern Irish car so no major rust, just cosmetic rust".

For anyone in the know this is a major turn off. People know about UK cars and rust due to road salt. I know If I was looking at an ad and seen UK car in one sentence and rust in the next, even cosmetic, I'd move on. It's not that cosmetic rust would bother me it's just on UK cars sometimes cosmetic rust on top can be accompanied with major rot underneath.

"NCT until 29/05/16, only 1900 miles since last NCT"

I'd NCT it, NCT until May 2017 would be a help in selling it, remove all talk about cosmetic rust too as mentioned.

"..........new O2 sensor all in the past few months...." would possibly suggest an emissions issue that may or may not be cured, I'd remove that too once it's NCT'd.

12+ months NCT is the biggest seller on a car imo after price, before in some cases.

Few bangers with a fair bit of NCT ...

I would like to see an interior pic before going to see that, still €500 for a 1.8 bigish car is fair enough. NCT until Jan.

€700 90k mile Multipla with 14 months NCT.

If you didn't care about interior paint damage....

What about those multiplas? I am burdened with 4 kids, and always fancied one, but "The Management" is not keen.

Are they reliable? (Multiplas I mean, not Management...)

I don't know about reliable but they are surely the ugliest car on irish roads.

The facelifted keeps the innovative interior but ditches the bug ugly exterior,
4 months of NCT left only, €1700 but probably some bargaining to be done

That must be sitting there for quite a while when they are boasting that the tax is valid to 09/15.

Not an expert on these but is that a 6 cylinder too? If so that's nice!

That is almost as ugly as the mulipla. Horrible little cars not much bigger than a punto.

Saw that but forgot I saw it :o
A 2nd hand gear box would be best way to sort that I suppose, makes the car fairly untouchable though admittedly.

I think as a bangernomics proposition they are thoroughly decent :)

Those Multiplas, although fugly, are a very underrated car. Quite a comfortable ride and the diesel were very good in them.

Off topic but I remember giving myself a fair fright a few years back after jumping out of audi TT and into a space star. Let's just say the first corner was an adventure.

I remember when it came out, the motoring press all raved about it being the best and most practical/useful MPV of it's day by far, once you got past the looks.

Great city cars, Italy has loads of urban areas where small cars are ideal.

Good looking, cheap to buy, low tax, low fuel consumtion, relatively reliable, easy to live with city car... Great for learner drivers or as a second run around type car too.

They have quite a lot going for them really.

Pretty quick off the mark too even if they run out of puff soon after. They'll never be embarrassed around town.
