Maybe it is just a trick of the light but there seems to be two different shades of black between the front and back doors??

Also Gvido I don't see the escort up for sale.

I didn't advertise anywhere except the Fixerupper thread.

Put it up on donedeal as only a very small number of the population use boards and less even in the motors section. I am on boards.ie at least once everyday and never even looked in the fixerupper thread so that goes to show how few would see it there.

Outback has tax 10-16. Vibration would be worry if not something simple.

    HonestJohn says:

14-8-2011: 'Official' LPG converted engines have been suffering exhaust valve seat recession in as little as 40,000 miles. Subaru has been fixing cars under warranty, but this could become a problem when the car is out of warranty.

Two exhausts means nothing, plenty of them have that as an aftermarket mod. You'd need the vin or a pic of the engine bay! Not that it matters much performance wise except the 225BHP BAM engine is the strongest of them all

@landmarkjohn - the TT is very well put together and the 1.8 Turbo engines are strong. The 185k or so miles (just shy of 300k km) wouldn't bother me if the engine seems to be running fine...

wasn't just going off the twin exhausts, according to Cartell.ie its a 225...

Maybe it wasn't in use, but it is definitely taxed as classic. 56 euro a year is nothing :)

That's a better car than what I sold for the same money, mine had double the mileage. Don't give it away whatever you do.

Definitely spotlight the ad, I'd up the price a little first and then hold out for €1500. It's definitely worth that. Maybe mention when the timing belt is due too.

Yeah I think buyers are overwhelmed with the amount of cars on Donedeal, particularly if you have a fairly run of the mill car. It's well worth the extra few euros to highlight it. Glad it worked for ya! That was a steal for the buyer.

Yep. First Ireland in particular are quite amenable when it comes to premium brand German cars over 15 years old. Or even a bit younger I have heard from anecdotal evidence.

They have lovely T&Cs too, once you have a classic, add any other classic for just another €100 per year, fully comp. No charges for change overs, friendly staff.

Early Mini have a weak gearbox but if any of these aren't whining or making any other noise you'd have low depreciation, smart motoring.......

66k miles, NCT until March, nice Cooper wheels etc

Almost twice the miles, same NCT, from a dealer of some sort... if the car is fine I wouldn't be overly bothered by the intricacies (Please note all viewings must be booked one hour in advance)

There's a lot to say for bangernomics MINIs. Wouldn't mind one myself and my eldest daughter has already demanded a Cooper as her first car in a few years time :p

Second one is gone already, Augeo! Picture is over 18 months old but it looks good. What were the details?

    fishy ! :pac:

110k miles iirc, NCT until March, €1800 I think, dealer near Cork City, add stated it would be valeted but had to give an hours notice to view any car. Had full black leather interior, looked decent

In general I think they'll hold their value well around the €1500 mark as there is decent demand of young ladies like your daughter.

This is the dealer that was advertising it. http://www.surocars.ie/

More than just Japtastic. An actual car that is not overhyped like most "classic" Japanese cars are. A car owned by a no bullsh1t owner who actually keeps the car in order, taxes it, NCTs it. It's no Ferrari, it's no BMW, I do not know this car, but I generally get a vibe off a car ad when I see it, and this one is looking good to me. Very, very reasonable asking price too.

Would they be amenable to a 99 Mk4 GTI? I'm paying €550 at the moment. Do they look at mileage per year? I've averaged 12k per year for last 9 years.
