You mightn't, but plenty would. I'd give it a spin for the novelty value alone :D

The Fiat 500 is a good car, with few issues, and proven Panda underpinnings. They're selling loads in San Francisco, if what I saw in June is anything to go by.

They were all over the place in Florida too, even more so than the Mini. They look ridiculous next to all the barges though. :p

I'd say the chain stretching/rattling POS Prince engine turned a certain amount of people away from MINIs.

In the midst of all the V8s burbling around when I was there, the two guys having most fun in a car in SF were in a 500 Abarth, absolutely flooring it between lights - Glanza style wommmm-tish-wommmm-tish-wommmm-tish.

Nice investment for someone. Perhaps a good bit overpriced.

Agree 100%, almostover. Maybe the right buyer will stretch to the asking price, but it is very high.

That said, NCT and tax are genuine. Also car is a one owner car (in this country), which of course adds to the desirability

Not sure why the seller is trying to hide the reg, but he miserably fails at it. 95D120053 :p

Its not exactly cheap but posting bc its cool. Petrol, auto, leather, NCT to 2/17 €1895

    That is an amazing car.
Just a pity it isn't in black.
And that engine, probably a complex one to work on, not to mention expensive.
But, I did lust after them back in the day, just a beautiful, sophisticated motorcar, at a time when most my age thought that fancy cars began and ended with hot hatches, the Peugeot 205 GTi, Golf GTi and the Ford XR series

There surely weren't one hundred and twenty thousand cars sold in Dublin in 1995 so that would suggest it's a fairly recent import wouldn't it ?

I love that XM. I lack the bravery

Imported cars in Dublin have numbers starting YY D 120NNN up until 2011 so an imported 2011 car would have 11 D 4NNNN or such as the last numbers registered in Dublin in 2011 was about 11 D 40000 but an imported 2010 car would have 10 D 120NNN and above.

They did this because 'they could not be sure of the issued numbers' or some such excuse for pre 2011 imports.

    BMW 318Ci Sport

'00, taxed. NCT 05/17, BMW Factory Sport Suspension, Sports leather steering wheel, 4 * electric windows, electric mirrors, Fern Green metallic (rare), automatic air conditioning (rare), park distance control (rare), beige leather, dark green metallic

115k miles, 1.9l, no squeaks, driving great, no leaks, no overheating, needs nothing, clean car, everything works. Only just done pollen filter and full airconditioning service (Parkwest Aircon specialist), blowing ice cold. Currently insured as a classic car with First Ireland (€200-€340 fully comprehensive) - check this before you buy, it might not be available to new business

Sad to see it ago, was going to hold onto it but then I saw a Porsche Boxster that I just had to have. And I'm not allowed to have 3 cars

Here for anyone on bangernomics - €975, no offers, no last price. I've no photos taken yet. Will do that in a few days or so and then it will go on DoneDeal / Adverts for more than that

I like this. '96 740 V8, NCT to 5/17, €1600. If you can live with the tax and 20 MPG its a seriously nice cruiser!

I'm paying €340 fully comprehensive for the year. But that is because I have no other (normal) car insured in my own name

If I had, and I could live with a small yearly maximum of 3k km, it would be only €205...

Often the way with these photos that they forget about windscreen tax/nct/insurance discs having the reg, silly buggers :pac:

Have you got an existing policy?
I transferred my insurance onto one of these, only cost me €30 for the remaining 6 months on the policy. No hassle at renewal time either, ~€700 which is no more outrageous than most quotes these days really.

Mines almost identical to unkels, I paid about the same as he's asking but mine wasn't as clean and had a couple of niggles to sort. I love it, feels like a hell of a lot of car for €1000!

Lexus RX300, brand new NCT to 09/17, €1650. I remember someone I worked with remortgaged the house to buy one of these new back in the day.

If you can get over the bland styling and high road tax they're an excellent vehicle

    I like this old hauler.
Looks a bit like a hearse but sure so what.
Will come with a new test so I assume August '17.
Possibly a bit ambitious with the price but for the right person it's splitting hairs.
    Asking €1,750

    Test May '17
    Good looking motor
    Auto and low miles
    Asking €1,400

Haven't posted one of these in a while..ðŸ˜
    Test June '17
    Asking €750
Insurance prices will probably render it worthless... along with a lot of other decent reliable old motors.

Nice long test on this W124 coupe
    Tested until Nov '17
    Asking €1,950
    Caveat Emptor.

Good find Duke. I'd say the mileage is spot on as that light grey interior would show signs of wear on a high miler.

I know this dealer, not a cowboy, does not sell anything dodgy, has a good reputation in Bray. Would love to buy this and head off on a nice long and comfy road trip to the south of France.... :D

Problem is, you could get stuck in France. It could turn out to be a nightmare holiday with all 4 wheels locked and it untowable. It can only be lifted.
There's a good reason they are cheap, allowing for big tax and running costs too
