    Nothing spectacular, NCT'd to 4/17 for €650 (€500 ;)) - but it'll still be running when we're all not!

That looks like something from the 70s. Does that mean it qualifies for the €56 vintage tax? :pac:

I like those era accords. I'd stick the US boot on it and I think it would look better.

I used to love the Accord Aerodeck from the 80's, back when I was in school....
Not many of those still rolling on the roads I'd say!

Showing your age, it only needs to be an '86 for that! :o

Provided insurance doesn't turn out to be a ball ache...nice original looking Corolla here with an alleged 88k, new tyres, pads & discs and timing belt, tax till Christmas and NCT to 7/17 for €500. It really looks quite clean, high clutch wouldn't bother me a great deal. Draw bar and everything on it

Sounds like a decent runner though. The issues are only small right?

The new computer outweighs the seat rip :)

Sounds like a decent runner - why not just tell us it's your own...

It's my own! I need to sell and just want to gauge reaction to it. Might just sell into the trade if no interest, I'd say they wouldn't give me much though

Haha! Detective Cheensbo on the case. :D

Curious, would you have said it was yours if one of the posters hadn't asked you?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,704 ✭✭✭Cheensbo

Haha! Detective Cheensbo on the case. :D

He posted it looking for advice in another thread, I won't apply for templemore just yet :D

I just thought the general courtesy in here is that if it's your own bus you say so - and give the standard *50% discount off the asking price.

Would it pass the nct if the boot doesn't open

Saw right through my cunning disguise anyway.

Any idea what a garage would pay for this?

I thought you said fixing it cost €700. Not 1k as you state in your ad?

As Cheensbo said, bad form not to mention it's your own car...

Good question but no need to nct till next October. Boot can be fixed though..

Apologies to all if bad form. Wasn't trying to dishonestly flog it, just interested to know how people perceive the ad.

Replaced computer system for around 1k and no bother since. Think it's a good deal for someone but as stated before I don't want to sit on it for ages so could just end up selling to a garage or that.

Im not knocking your ad its just a question, does it not open at all ?

It doesn't open at all. On YouTube there is something you can try with a screwdriver, I had a go and nothing but then I'm uselessness at such things anyway. Citroen garage said it would cost 100e to fix over the phone but I don't want to put money in at this point

What did Citroen say the problem was? Must be fairly simple / cheap to fix if a main dealer is only quoting 100 to do it?

I wouldn't buy a car if I couldn't see into the boot tbh. Google it a bit more, have another go yourself, go to a back street mechanic or just pay the 100 to the dealer...

Yes. I was already talking about it on another thread. If I wanted to trick people I wouldn't do that.

Again, apologies if I peeved anyone off.

They didn't say, they just quoted that. Thanks for the feedback, might need to sort it myself after all.
