Not a bad far if you ignore the rear lights and badly rolled arches.
Popcorn limitters are useless but hilarious fun.

That was the rate at the time very hard to get more than €30 atm. Maybe if you haggled a lot you may get €50.

At that rate, you could take out whatever parts you could think of as valuable/use and flog them and then sell/pay for it to be taken away?
that way it would at least try pay for itself, Id say turn a profit, but the time involved might diminsih that.

That plan doesn't work if you have a wife.

Love this. The nicest colours inside and out for a 75 imo. And those alloys are great. No clue what the 1.8t is like in these, but NCT to 2018 and its got service history apparently. All for €1250

    Nice reg too!

Why can't you? Did you try all insurance companies?

You could have that car as your only car with fully comprehensive classic insurance for about €300

Provided that your wife / partner has a car with insurance in her own name. Try First Ireland.

I'll be doing some extensive calling towards the end of June once my insurance is due for renewal but I'm pretty confident I won't get insurance. As a fella of 39 I only passed my test in March of last year so I'll only have had a full licence for a year.
Despite having had two years as a named driver on an E90 and having passed my test in the same car, all I was able to get insurance on was something up to 1.4L.

We'll see about something more interesting but I'm not hopeful.

Shamelessly knicked from another thread on Motors Forum.

    Alfa Romeo Spider Roadster.

I would love the carspace to buy and have this as a 2nd car...

I didn't post it here because the test is a bit short :P

But I do think, stretching the budget slightly, one could buy the above and enjoy it for the summer for not a lot of money.

Edit: missing alloy might be a big issue.

Thats a bit steep for an 01, and the mileage, those wheels look kack, each to their own I suppose, worst looking things I ever saw, are they really alloys, they look thin and flimsy as if they are a metal wheel trim.
The previous Polo was fairly steep in price too, they're rare? are they sought after?

It would be very convenient if there was an emoji for drooling, I like them, despite hearing and laughing to myself when someone here stated what the numbers were on Rovers for (avergae age of driver), any known problems with these cars?

K-series engine prone to head gasket failure. Coolant level is critical afaik.

I think a short test is not a problem, it could easily be tested before sale to determine if its worthwhile. IMO a test thats near but not within 3 months is more of a problem as no one would want to test it earlier than that. A test just under a year means its passed relatively recently.
I must look back, I skimmed over pages cathcing up, but I thought I saw it mentioned that you can get some kind of classic insurance on a second car, but that wasn't necessarily 30 years old, maybe even as a daily driver?
If I had somewhere to put this or something like it, Id be all over it rather than even replace my daily driver..

Didn't realise they were only a 4 seater though :(

There's 4 and 5 seater options on the A2. Most of them are 4 seater though.

Some people report success with Autoline on this front ('classic' insurance on 15 years and older). Not as your primary/sole car though.

Might be worth a 4 figure sum with a brand new NCT. Just. And mostly because it has 3 months tax left.

    I'd offer 750.00 '',

Ad says "NCT 12.03.2017 Will pass no problem". Bugs me when you see this, NCT the thing and add the €55 to the cost of car, surely a full test would make it much more attractive to buyers.

It's one thing if there's 6 months+ left on the test, but when it's only a few weeks out - get it sorted.

That's a wreck though. Whole side looks damaged, and front looks funny, panels don't fit right.

Yea. One would need to low ball him on price. Spec and history good though.
